I love Cocoparra NP. Granted, it's not for everyone. Because to get the most out of the park you have to get out of your car and walk. Woolshed Flats camp ground is a nice drive in and OK for access in a car without particularly high clearance. The camp ground itself is large and well maintained with clean drop holes and BBQ area with free gas barbecues and tank water. Fire pits with a swing-arm for your billy are provided, but being a national park, you need to bring your own fire wood. This is also a great spot for bird watching. The sign posted walks in the park are sensational for dry area walking and seasonal changes are obvious through the year. The Pines near Woolshed Flats is probably the easiest and most shaded. Jack's Creek is the best walk for a newbie to the park, and the hardest, but by no means difficult. My recommendation is to walk the Jack's Creek loop in the OPPOSITE direction of the signage, especially if it is your first visit. And if you are lucky enough to visit during the rare occasionsthat the creeks are running, take the Store Creek track to the end, and then push on a little further for a spectacular cascading water fall. Warning : Cocoparra is stinking hot in summer and bitterly cold in winter. Water is usually scarce so dress and pack accordingly.

Pleasant area for a family picnic or camping at Woolshed Flat. Jack's Creek is a popular picnic area for day use. Gas Bar-B-Q and basic amenities. Unsealed road to Cocoparra National Park. Best time of year Autumn to Spring. Summer can be very hot.

What a wonderful place to explore! We did the Jack's trail. Took us 1.5hrs with two children aged 4 and 7! They did the whole trail. At the end there is new BBQs, seating areas and a drop toilet, all very clean. We will be back for more adventures!

Good camping and good facilities within a pleasant part of the park. The weeds are however very poorly controlled and extend over much of the park. In the north there is also prickly pear weed that is not under control. NSW Parks need to do much better. Also it would have been nice if any of the interior of the park was made...

Couldn't hear a bird above the many motor bikes criss crossing the place, didn't know its a dirt bike track national park. Besides that the place has been improved with better trails picnic areas and parking. Just don't go off the beaten track or you meet up with idiots on dirt bikes who speed past you...
