Can't believe such a town existed 100 years ago and now has become a ghost town. Great location and good trails. They could probably keep the place a little cleaner but understand their limitations on getting resources all the way up there.

A wonderful place for bushwalking with lots of friendly wildlife. We stayed at Yerranderie in Slippery Norris cottage. It was clean and tidy with the feel of lots of history as you would expect from a cottage as pld as this. Lots of goannas, wallabies and kangaroos around the camping area and old township but the highlight for us was seeing a lyrebird...

What a great place to spend a weekend away. There is a lot of history here. The camping is very reasonable and there are lodgings available. If you are adventurous, make sure you climb the peak/lookout, but be prepared, it is not the easiest climb and it's not fenced. The views are...
