Pricing of this is absolutely absurd. They may well say the logistics and remote location mean they have to charge what they do, but in no way do I believe it's justified. On arrival we sat on a platform at the back as it seemed overbooked, and were told we'd receive a blanket to sit on which didn't arrive. We were presented with a nice cheese box and glass of wine which were enjoyable, however the drone show was so short it has begun and finished before we were even able to finish the snack. Then offered one more drink and just as we received it we were told buses had arrived to return us to the resort. I'd say the entire time on site was less than 60 minutes. Field of Lights is very reasonably priced - this on the other hand they have absolutely gone off the deep end and need to give their heads a shake. Disgraceful at $190 a pop, feel disgustingly ripped off and wouldn't recommend to anyone. Asked the girl working why we couldn't take photos and she said to 'keep it exclusive' - in other words if others see photos or videos you post online they will realise what a rip off it is and won't be able to be scammed in the future. You are utterly extorting people. Felt like nothing more than a walking bank note being herded like cattle back on to the bus after a box of cheese, a glass of wine and a drone show that you blink and it's over. What a scam. Left a real bitter taste in the mouth on what has otherwise been an...

We recently attended the drone show experience in Uluru, paying $620 for two people. This included cocktails, canapés, a gourmet picnic hamper, and the highly anticipated drone show. Unfortunately, the evening was a major letdown from start to finish.

I notified the company ahead of time that I have coeliac disease. Upon arrival, I asked if the welcome cocktails were gluten-free. Shockingly, the staff had no idea and told me the cocktails were all pre-made and they couldn’t check the ingredients. I was really looking forward to enjoying the cocktails, so this was a huge disappointment right at the start.

When we received our picnic hamper, one of the main components was bread to go with the dips and cheeses. My “gluten-free” bread was completely stale and inedible. The desserts were no better—they tasted terrible and I couldn’t eat them at all (and I usually enjoy just about anything).

But the biggest letdown of all was the drone show—the whole reason we booked this experience. Due to bad weather, it was cancelled. Instead, we were shown a brief 10-minute light display with music, no story, no cultural connection, nothing meaningful or memorable.

For $620, I expected a premium, inclusive experience. What we received felt careless and thrown together. Sadly, I can’t recommend this to anyone, especially if you have dietary requirements or high expectations for a unique...

The Wintjiri Wiru Show is a show like no other. It is a drone, projector and laser show telling the ancient Mala story. There were over 1100 drones that lit up the sky together with the lasers while the projector projected on the trees and the beautiful outback and told the story. The colours were so beautiful and effects amazing…. I’ve never seen an ocean in the outback, or fires..The special effects were great. You get the best view of Uluṟu and Kata Tjuṯa as the sun sets while having wine and cheese or dinner if you choose but be quick booking otherwise you’ll miss out like we did. We could only get the wine and cheese and got free flowing wine top ups and a generous selection of yummy cheeses and fruit. The service was great. I was also lucky enough to experience a moonrise, something I’ve never seen before. It was so beautiful….and the stars ✨🌟 Amazing 🤩 Unfortunately they don’t let you take photos or videos while the show is going on and I respect that, but here are a few pics before and after the show. Only bad thing was we couldn’t hear the audio intro in the bus on the way up to the viewing platform otherwise it was a great experience. If you ever get a chance, I strongly encourage you all to come and see this amazing show with a magical backdrop. I think it’s better than the fields of light and...

Quite amazing how an ancient story can be presented to integrate with modern life and with the landscape. An extraordinary achievement in one of the most spiritual and beautiful settings in Australia. Wonderful hospitality and we were very full with food and drinks. We had the sunset dinner option and it was so wonderful to spend the extra time on the deck just taking in the scenery and watching Uluru change colour whilst sipping cocktails and enjoying canapés. Our teenagers enjoyed some mocktails. You can’t take video or photos of the show but that is quite okay as it’s best to enjoy in person in situ. There are blankets for you to be more comfortable and as twilight comes a lovely prepared picnic basket is provided of savouries cheese, bread, water and sweets. We saw the twilight drinks group join us and then as the darkness set in the drone show started. There are toilets on site and the bar is very generous. Great for couples, families, big groups, all abilities so long as you can get on/off a coach bus. Definitely buy tickets in advance. Be aware sometimes the drones don’t fly if there is too much wind. Highly recommend if you are in Uluru.

This was one of the worst scams I've had the misfortune of falling for. I had a reservation for one of the shows at night, and they cancelled it. I had to reschedule to a different day, and the only available option was the more expensive one that included food and drinks because apparently they had no spots left for the regular version. Now for the food they offered some wine and cheese, which was decent but definitely does not justify the massive price difference between this and the normal experience. Then, this morning, I get an email saying they might cancel the drone show because of wind. If they do, I’d get a 30% refund and a "light show" instead. I decide to go anyway, thinking, well, I’m here, might as well try to enjoy it. I get there, and 20 minutes later they announce the drones can’t fly, and we’ll be getting the light show instead. They turn on some lights for about 10 minutes and that’s it. While it was pretty, I wouldn’t pay over $30 for the whole thing, including the wine and cheese. Extremely overpriced, extremely disappointed, and extremely unsatisfied with the experience.
