One of the MOST BEAUTIFUL sunsets I've ever seen!! Pray it's a nice sunny day, with a few clouds spread across the sky, and there you have your perfect sunset at Reed Lookout with a wonderful Panoramic view of the Victoria Valley and the surrounding mountain ranges. It is a 20-25 minutes drive from the Visitor's Centre. There's a nice parking spot, from where, it is just a minute's walk to the nearest and the best lookout point, to your right. It is mostly crowded on weekends, but on weekdays, you can pretty much have this wonderful spot all to yourself! There is another lookout point(Balcony) to the left of the parking lot too, just 15 minutes walking distance, but it's definitely worth that walk!! After you've enjoyed the mesmerising sunset, if you like star gazing and have enough guts to stay beyond the sunset(because it gets super dark and scary up there later), I highly recommend you do. You'll see the Milky Way so clearly, you'll be amazed.. Having said that, you can also see it from anywhere in the town...

The photograph captures a breathtaking panoramic view from a high vantage point, where the rugged terrain meets the vast expanse of the sky. The foreground features a rocky outcrop, its texture rough and sun-kissed, leading the eye towards the sprawling landscape below. A dense forest, painted in shades of deep green and hints of brown, stretches across the valley, creating a tapestry of nature's artistry. The distant mountain ranges, softened by the atmosphere, fade into the horizon, adding depth and a sense of endlessness to the scene. Above, a bright blue sky is adorned with fluffy white clouds, their shapes casting subtle shadows on the landscape. The sunlight, angled from the side, illuminates the scene, highlighting the textures of the rocks and the lushness of the forest. The overall composition is a harmonious blend of earth and sky, showcasing the raw beauty and...

Reed lookout is certainly an underrated point in Grampians. The most probable reason is it's proximity to the Balconies which is 1 km further away from this point. However, Reed lookout can provide fantastic views for those who don't have time or ability to visit Balconies. It provides a beautiful panoramic view of the Grampians national park. Being less crowded, it is a beautiful spot to watch sunset.

There are two spots - one is next to the car park and the other one is near the fire tower. The car park is limited and can get very tight during busy time. There are no toilets here, the nearest one is at Boroka lookout. It can get quite windy and cold past sunset, so carry some warm cloths even during summer months.

In short, if you want to see a beautiful sunset minus the crowd and want an easily accessible spot to watch it, this is...
