Schaubergwerke Terra Mystica & Montana — Attraction in Bad Bleiberg

Totally sorry I can‘t offer more stars as this one is so close to my home that I would go there quite often if it was worth it. Actually the only good thing about my visit was that my 6-year old was happy and astonished about being IN a mine but that‘s it. The first dia-show before the slide wasn‘t working and then the slide was completely wet so the first to slide down have had a wet and cold bakc for the next upcoming 2 hours. All of „multimedia“ stops consists of unclear pictures that come with Mono-Audio that can be located within a second but isn‘t understandable due to bad adjustment (too much loudness, bass and echo). Well at the end of the day the fact that not even all rooms in the entrance building have had their lights on pretty much says it all ... I‘m sorry for both (yes only 2!!) people I saw...

First of all, it's very cold inside the mine, I recommend coats and warm clothing for the children, at most they will be lowered. The children had a lot of fun, there is a slide at the beginning, they screamed and the adults also enjoyed it. If you don't want to slide, you can go down the stairs. The guide is knowledgeable and nice, however, he has a little difficulty dealing with a group in English, I recommend asking him in advance to wait between the explanations so that there is an opportunity to translate for those who did not understand him, so that everyone will be satisfied. There is a screening section of plays and operas that were performed there, it is possible and desirable to give up in advance. For English we had to schedule in advance- call them...

Enttäuschend und absolut nicht familienfreundlich – nie wieder!

Wir waren mit zwei Erwachsenen und zwei kleinen Kindern (4 und 6 Jahre alt) im Schaubergwerk Terra Mystica – und sind maßlos enttäuscht. Für insgesamt 60 € haben wir eine Tour erlebt, die für Familien mit Kindern weder durchdacht noch freundlich gestaltet ist.

Überall am Eingang wird mit einer Schatzsuche geworben. Unser kleiner Sohn war total begeistert und konnte es kaum erwarten. Doch im Laufe der Führung wurde klar: von einer Schatzsuche war keine Rede. Auf Nachfrage hieß es dann plötzlich: Nur Kinder mit einem Extra-Ticket dürfen teilnehmen. Davon wurde uns an der Kasse mit keinem Wort etwas gesagt, obwohl offensichtlich war, dass wir mit zwei kleinen Kindern unterwegs sind!

Die Führung selbst? An zwei Stationen wird man nur abgestellt und es laufen Filme ab – für Kinder völlig uninteressant. Wir haben uns freiwillig angeboten, das Schlusslicht der Gruppe zu bilden, um niemanden aufzuhalten – dafür wurden wir am Ende mit traurigen Kindern "belohnt". Die Schatzsuche startete ohne unsere Kinder, obwohl ich die Führerin angefleht habe, sie teilnehmen zu lassen. Wir hätten die 5 € später an der Kasse bezahlt – aber sie war komplett unkooperativ und abweisend. Stattdessen saßen wir mit den anderen "ausgeschlossenen" Familien in einem dunklen Raum, wo eine gruselige Puppe mit unheimlicher Stimme sprach. Unsere Kinder waren völlig aufgelöst und haben geweint, weil sie ausgeschlossen wurden und sich auch noch gruseln mussten.

Als ob das nicht genug wäre, konnten wir in der Bahn zum Ausgang nicht einmal zusammensitzen, weil wir als Letzte einstiegen. Niemand hat sich bemüht, Familien zusammenzusetzen. Also hatte jeder von uns ein trauriges Kind alleine neben sich.

Fazit: 60 € für eine enttäuschende, schlecht organisierte Tour, keine Transparenz an der Kasse, null Familienfreundlichkeit und unfreundliches Personal. Es war für uns eine echte Enttäuschung – und für unsere Kinder leider ein trauriges Erlebnis, das als Abenteuer geplant war. Definitiv nicht...
