Goisererhütte — Attraction in Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee

I had a wonderful stay at Goisererhutte, and can't recommend it enough! I showed up tired, wet, and late after taking the long route from Bad Goisern (beautiful, but challenging - 5.5hrs vs 3hrs). I was received warmly by the friendly hosts, served a delicious meal (& choccy cake dessert), and a cold beer. The room was comfortable and warm, and breakfast was a delicious spread to fuel up for the hike down! The two Australian Shepards were extra welcoming as well.

My wife and I stayed here as part of our Dachstein Circuit and was to be our last night in a mountain hut. The best was definitely saved until the end.

A lovely welcome and a toasty warm hut. Spotlessly clean rooms,. By far the best food in a hut that we have had, the evening meal was hearty and tasty. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and plentiful.

Beautiful location, great local Austrian cuisine. Nice room. But best of all are the hosts which are very friendly, talkative and likable. Only stayed here for one night (which is usual when hiking).

I was especially impressed by the beautiful breakfast buffet, which was above the general hut standard.
