The Queue for the toilet is insanely Long, as only one of them works. (It's Just a whole in a Box) The staff literally yelled at me for Not closing the Door for the restroom even though there was literally Somebody waiting behind me to Go next.

Niesamowite miejsce w cudownym położeniu. Wspaniale, że daje możliwość noclegu przed porannym atakiem na Zugspitze. Mieliśmy z mężem pokój dwuosobowy. Świetna sprawa, byliśmy bardzo szczęśliwi. W pokojach nie ma elektryczności. Jest pościel i koce. Mieliśmy widok na pionową ścianę, którą nazajutrz się wspinaliśmy. Ciepło i czysto. Kawa i herbata podane w wielkich kubkach, od serca, smakowały jak nigdzie indziej. Można zamówić obiadokolację, wydawana jest przez Gospodarzy o konkretnej godzinie. My zjedliśmy obiadokolację i śniadanie, jak na okoliczności przyrody i możliwości zaopatrzenia schroniska (ich brak drogą lądową), było bez jakichkolwiek zarzutów. Toaleta to wychodek wspólny dla wszystkich, to niesamowite ale jest tam bardzo czysto, Gospodarze dbają o czystość i zasady. Obsługa jest bardzo miła i życzliwa. Cudny projekt podzielony na dwa dni - dojście z Ehrwaldu do schroniska na noc i zdobycie Zugspitze na kolejny dzień....

Due Wiener Neustädter Hütte (2213 m) geht war die erste Hütte an der Zugspitze! 1884 erbaut. Auch der Klettersteig "Stopselzieher" ist bereits recht betagt: 1879 wurde er eröffnet. Die Hütte diente und dient bis heute als Stützpunkt für die Klettersteiggeher. Sie wurde 1890/91, 1903 und 1911–13 erweitert und bietet heute in der Zeit von Juli bis Oktober 34 Bergsteigern eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit.

Die Versorgung der Hütte erfolgt übrigens von den Gondeln der Tiroler Zugspitzbahn aus, deren Trasse genau über der Hütte verläuft. Dazu wird die Bahn angehalten, und die Versorgungsgüter durch die geöffnete Seilbahntür per Seilwinde rund 40 Meter abgeseilt.
