Leopoldsteinersee — Attraction in Eisenerz

Although a bit crowded during a sunny week/weekend yet really worth a visit. We were there on a Thursday, and luckily it wasn't crowded. Water is fresh and clean. Views are amazing. Sun is present all day. If you don't have an umbrella, you can just choose a tree or a bush for shade. There are many beautiful hiking trails around as well since this lake is in the middle of two mountains. Make sure to pack well (food and water) if you are spending the whole day. Amazing lake surrounded by spectacular mountains! The trail around the lake is very easy, mostly flat, suitable also for children. It take about 2 hours to go around if you are making stops and not rushing. Water seems to be very clean. There are benches on the trail so you can sit and enjoy the nature.
