I arrived alone half an hour before the start of the tour. I accidentally crossed paths with the guide, and he said that the tour was in German (naturally :)))). But what I answered was that it suits me, even though my level of German is A2, which was very felt. As a result, after 15 minutes, the guide returned to me and said that the director of the museum would personally give me a tour in English! It was very interesting and informative to listen to the history of this object. This is especially impressive when you realize that this is where everything happened many years ago: the mothballed well itself, the power plant building, the tiles on the floor, and the 3600 horsepower steam power plant itself (no comment here at all)! Read moreWe have just visited Bergbaumuseum Fohnsdorf with my father, as his grandfather had been a mine supervisor there in 1942/43 and had participated in helping rescue efforts when the mining disaster happened.
