The review applies only to the organization of the cable car Wildkogelbahn (upper station):
We had an unpleasant experience that lead to a very dangerous situation in the queue to the Wildkogelbahn cable cars. Due to the sudden change of the weather (snow storm) most of visitors of Wildkogel arena decided to leave in the same time. In one moment, there were hundreds of people squeezing each other and trying to get to the cable cars. Some adult men with skis and snowboards pushed constantly small children from sides. Some children were crying - they were cold or just scared of the situation. There were also older people who were not feeling well. For some of these adult people, the situation was an adventure, as they were cheerfully and loudly singing the songs, but parents were doing everything to keep their children safe, and some people who were feeling sick, were almost passing out. I am not judging these selfish people who were shamelessly overtaking others, including children, I have strong reservations about the skiresort service who didnt secure the situation. No one from the Wildkogelbahn employees were managing the visitors. The reasonable solution would be letting small kids with 1 parent and elder people go first, but nobody even tryied to do anything. The situation of today cant be unique - the weather in the mountain changes quickly very often, so I would suggest the Wilkogel Arena management to check the queues and see if...
Read moreWe came for the tobogganing and absolutely loved it. People from many ages and abilities were on the hill, and though occasionally was busy where skiers and tobogganers were (briefly) together, the run was challenging but not too difficult for our novice abilities.
It was easy to buy the toboggan lift tickets, and to rent equipment across the street. The two gondolas to the top are a bit slow, but we only had a two minute wait each time on Christmas Eve. Facilities were nice, clean toilets and available restaurants both at the base and...

8.) Restaurants in der Faschingswoche heillos überfüllt. 1 großes Haus (Wolkenstein) dabei...
