Radetzky-Gedenkstätte und Steinzeitdorf Heldenberg. Kleinwetzdorf — Attraction in Gemeinde Heldenberg

We came off season, but this is really not worth a visit for tourists. We paid 52 EUR online for tickets to the Stone Age Park, Falcon Park and Lipizzaner Tour. The combined family ticket for the Stone Age Park and Falcon Park cost 18 EUR but apparently did not include the bird show, which was an additional 11 EUR. There is basically nothing to see here (at least in October) beyond the bird show. The birds are kept in cages outdoors, so I suppose we paid to see that initially. The Stone Age park was essentially closed on a Saturday (all attractions not running except you could walk through a recreated house). The falcon show was entertaining but not for the price. The Lipizzaner tour was informative but all of the horses were kept in their stables and boxes just like the Spanish Riding School tour. Most of the information is the same as what you receive on the Spanish Riding School tour. The first weekend in October and the cafe no longer had ice cream sundaes. Maybe if you come in July...

Das Museum bzw. die Ausstellung besteht aus zwei Teilen. Da gibt es die, sehr wohl interessante, Ausstellung über Ausgrabungsmethoden im Allgemeinen als auch über die Funde vor Ort im Speziellen. Der zweite Teil umfasst die Zeit und "das Wirken" des Herrn Radetzky. Natürlich schon informativ aber es hat eher einen bejahenden, den Militarismus bewundernden Eindruck. Was einen evolutionär fortgeschrittenen Menschen des 21. Jahrhunderts eventuell stören könnte. Uniformen, Säbel & Co, und zig Tausende Zinnsoldaten die damaligen Schlachten darstellend sind informativ aber man findet nirgends den klaren Hinweis wie absurd und abscheulich das Alles eigentlich ist. Wenn das Leben des Herrn Radetzky gezeigt wird, finde ich persönlich okay aber welch unglaubliches Leid in dieser Zeit den Bevölkerungen zugemutet wurde (und auch heute noch wird) das hätte man auch noch rüberbringen können. I think it’s nice for kids when they have some activities going on there. At the moment when we visit it wasn’t much to do. Sure a nice walk and the museum is nice but only makes sense to visit when you are also interested in the Radetzky...
