Would give more stars if I could. Friendly people. Helpful staff. Great facilities. Variety of languages spoken. Excellent piste preparation. Well organised free parking with helpful assistants. Nice gasthauses - 4 to choose from. I'm normally a half day skier and my 4 year old never goes beyond 3 hours. Today I couldn't convince him to go home. So my stundenkarte turned into an expensive full day ticket - but well worth it! He loved the chairlifts and we both appreciated the break they afford your legs. Therefore we could both enjoy a full day in this scenic area. I think we'll be looking at a season card next year! Reminds me of my local Coronet Peak skigebiet near Arrowtown in South Island...
Read moreExcellent resort, the beauty of Lech without the price. I was here late in the season, so the valley was already turning green, while some of the mountains were still completely white. At one point when I was about to make a run, the sun came through the clouds, lighting up the green valley and the brilliant snow -- the view was stunning! Can't describe, but had I known the beauty, I would have risked taking my camera up even with the chances of damage on the way down (I'm new to skiing ;) Anyways, good place to go; they do make the effort to speak English at the check-in, which is a bonus, cause they wouldn't have to. Read moreWe were a group of 5 people that were hiking during summer time all day in the mountains, and on our way back asked the staff from Sonnenkopf on the top station where we can buy tickets for the cable car. They told us it was free for the way down. When we arrived at the bottom station, we were treated quite badly by the staff there, and we were told that we needed to pay (50€ for the group).
