Beautifull caste just a few minutes from Vienna. The tour is every hour and lasts a little over an hour. It is not allowed to take pictures in the castle. The entrance fee is reasonable. Parking near the castle is only for residents, visitors must park in a large free parking lot about half a kilometer from the castle. I recommend combining the visit with the nearby cave Seegrote.

The castle looks abandoned; for the admission fee they charge, they could at least clean and sweep it occasionally. The tour guide was very professional, but the gentleman selling the tickets was unprofessional. The castle is still owned by the family.

Castle Liechtenstein, located in the picturesque town of Burg Liechtenstein in Austria, is a mesmerizing destination that perfectly marries historical grandeur with stunning natural beauty. This enchanting castle, with its origins tracing back to the 12th century, stands as a testament to the architectural brilliance and rich history of the region.

As you approach Castle Liechtenstein, the first thing that captures your attention is its majestic structure, perched elegantly on a rocky outcrop, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. The castle's ancient stone walls, adorned with ivy, evoke a sense of timelessness and invite visitors to step into a bygone era.

The interior of Castle Liechtenstein is equally captivating, with rooms that have been meticulously preserved and restored to reflect the grandeur of medieval times. Each room tells a story, from the grand halls adorned with antique furniture and intricate tapestries to the charming chapels and cozy chambers that once housed nobility. The castle's collection of artifacts, paintings, and historical documents provides a fascinating glimpse into its storied past.

One of the highlights of a visit to Castle Liechtenstein is the guided tour, which is both informative and engaging. Knowledgeable guides bring the history of the castle to life, sharing intriguing tales of the noble families who resided there, the battles that were fought, and the architectural evolution of the structure over the centuries.

The surrounding grounds of Castle Liechtenstein are equally impressive. Lush gardens, well-maintained pathways, and scenic viewpoints make for a delightful exploration. Whether you are strolling through the serene gardens or taking in the panoramic views from the castle's towers, the natural beauty of the area is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Castle Liechtenstein is not just a destination for history buffs; it is a place where anyone can find joy and inspiration. The blend of historical significance, architectural beauty, and natural splendor creates an unforgettable experience for all who visit.

In conclusion, Castle Liechtenstein is a jewel of Austria, offering a perfect escape into history and beauty. Its rich heritage, combined with its scenic location, makes it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to the region. Whether you are exploring its ancient halls or simply soaking in the views, Castle Liechtenstein promises a visit filled with wonder and...

The castle is very beautiful. It dates back to the 12th century and has been renovated and is well decorated. Unfortunately, you won't get the chance to see it all properly. You can only visit it on a tour. The tour is informative, but it doesn't allow any room for questions or for looking at everything at your own pace. In one hour, you and the large group of fellow visitors are rushed from room to room, where a standard story, learned by heart, is told. The rooms are overcrowded, so you only see the square meter you are standing on. Before you know it, you have to make way for the guide to pass, and then you have to follow the guide and all the other visitors into the next room. By the end of the tour, I had only seen a few parts of the castle, had been able to read only 1.5 information boards, and was out of the castle before I knew it.

Suggestions for improvements: Allow people to visit the castle without a guide so that they can read all the information boards and see everything at their own speed. If a tour is provided, keep the number of people small so that the rooms are not overcrowded. Offer tours in one language only, either German or English. This will give the guide time to provide more information and also time to answer questions.

If the situation stays the same, I won't visit again, since these kinds of tours aren't worth spending 18 euros per person. If changes are made and especially if one can go through the castle by oneself, I will come again, even for the...

There is currently 1 tour on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11a.m. The castle itself look very interesting. Our tour however was a bit.. boring. There suppose to be 1 group in German and 1 in English but our English group had also people speaking German only so the guide was telling the story in both languages. As a result the tour lasted twice longer and the kids were really bored after half of it. The guide wasn't too nice either giving out about walking away from group or watch the kids instead of having a bit of trust in visitors. This was February and there seems to be very little or no heating in the castle so after a while it felt unpleasantly cold when standing in one place all the time. If the tour was only in one language it would be much more comfortable and interesting. The guide probably would also talk slightly slower as at times we couldn't understand some of the words because of the strong accent. Overall the history of the castle is interesting just the way it was shown to us had few...
