Visited on Mon 17-07-23. Amazing wildlife park. You get tickets at the entrance, there is a restaurant and gift shop. Park is easy to navigate. To the right you will find the bear but if you go left and follow the trail, you see deer, owls, goats and much more. It also leads to the open space part of the Zoo which is incredibly picturesque given the location. We were in awe.

If you purchase a bag of animal food at the encounter, it has pictures on the bags of animals you are allowed to feed. We had a lot of fun feeding the goats, they were very friendly and funny. Super enthusiastic. (Might be idea to carry hand sanitizer to clean your hands after feeding animals).

Highlights were the owls. Absolutely beautiful, magnificent and amazing. Funny moment - We thought the Eurasian Eagle Owl was blind at first as he only had one eye open and thought, Poor thing, that's why he has been taken in. Only to have us fooled and eventually open the other eye. Absolutely nothing wrong with his eyes AT ALL lol. Then we met the Snowy Owl in the next enclosure who was absolutely adorable. Super sociable and smiley.

We walked around the Zoo and made our way back to see if the Brown Bear was awake, low and behold it was walking around so we managed to get some good pictures.

Advisable to wear good walking shoes/trainers as the Zoo is quite hilly in some parts but very accessible. Overall a lovely day out. Just remember if you go when the weather is quite warm, a lot of the animals will be resting. Location is remote so you will need a car to get here but its...

The park is beautifully situated in a mountain valley. There are beautiful views, there is running water, ponds and small lakes everywhere and the path winds its way through the various it all. The animal cages and corals are very spacious and are built in a way that they are almost imperceptible and at times one is walking amidst a flock of geese or a herd of deer. You won't find overly exotic animals as you would in any normal zoo as those would be completely out of place in this beautiful setting.

One warning however: bring your own food and plenty of time. On one hand the hike through the park is quite long and there are many beautiful places where you can rest and enjoy your meal. On the other hand, I would strongly discourage any visit to the restaurant that belongs to the park. You would be very disappointed and for us it almost ruined the day. The menu is lacking at best and the quality and quantity of the food left much to desire. All at an egregiously high...

This is such an enjoyable family trip. First of all it is a pleasing walk/ mini hike for anyone. You can push your pram easily. The landscape is picturesque and breathtaking. There is enough space for a crowd, so you won't feel rushed or stressed to see the animals or walk on the pathway. Grey geese, swans, ducks, fish and even otters are on the lake and stream as well as elk, Mufflon, bison, deer, goats, bunnies and sheep to name a few favourites. Usually there are some babies around. Also, one of our favorite highlights is that You can buy a bag of feed and feed animals. Such a delight! You will need at least 2-4hrs there, probably more if your crowd enjoys a nice playground and exploring. Highly...
