A wonderful place for a leisurely walk. The full loop (from parking lot to parking lot) took us 1.5 hours — with stops for photos and enjoying the views. It's worth paying the €8 (card only) to drive up to the parking area near the lake. There are trails not only around the lake but also into the mountains. There’s a Hütte with a pleasant interior and a good selection of food, but it was already closed when we visited, so we...

Paradise! Crystal clear waters, beautiful shades of blue and green. The majestic mountains in fore- and background, lush forests all around. A short car ride up, they only take electronic cash at the toll (8 Euro). Nice little restaurant and hotel on site about 10 minutes walk away. Was an easy...

Spontan hierher gefahren und nicht bereut. Wenn man nur den See betrachtet hat/te der GrüneSee mMn mehr Flair, aber dafür passt es wiederum beim Scheibl von der Gegend rundum! Alleine die Wanderstrecken und das Gebirge sind hier in HohenTauern ein Traum. Um zum Scheibelsee zu kommen muss man eine Maut zahlen (siehe Foto zur Einordnung) gegenwärtig 8€ zb für...

Leicht holprige Anfahrt mit dem Auto (nicht für Straßen-Motorräder geeignet) - ausreichend viele Parkplätze. Danach geht's zu Fuß ca. 1h relativ flach rauf zum See (und dazwischen gibt es eine Einkehrmöglichkeit). Der See hat ein kaltes, klares Wasser - man sieht kleine Fische - alles sehr naturbelassen. Tolle Atmosphäre und schöner Ausflug dorthin.
