AFRICASIAEURO Reviews : Burg Klam is a medieval castle dating back to the early 12th century. The present owners of Klam keep this castle in the best possible condition. The castle is of imposing beauty and consists of a main tower as well as several large buildings that house rooms. According the count owning the castle the surrounding Clam gorge wasn't always as peaceful as it is today. Best is to rent a room in the castle or otherwise take a guided tour conducted by the owner himself. A wonderful experiemce during summer. In winter the castle looks - and I am sure - feels also freezing cold, though a large part must be heated. I recommend a...
Read moreGreat concert but where are the stewards? Just dark slippery boggy ground walking on the concert ground and to/from the car park is very poorly lit, it's very dangerous. When it rains, the car park is an unsafe boggy field where wheels spin and your car slides and get stuck in the mud. Again, no lights and it's an unsafe disaster that you pay a whopping 10 EUR to endure. Sure, nobody controls the weather but literally 1 steward at the potholed car park exit is a disgrace for a 10 EUR fee. 40 wait to exit the car park. Show was phenomenal, Burg Clam organization is simply useless. I won't be going to any more...
Read moreI saw Nick Cave at Burg Clam. You don’t get to enter the castle itself—the Clam Live stage is on a meadow which slopes up to the castle. It is a casual, fun, and unusual concert setting. Bring a blanket and come early to score a good spot. You can bring food or buy it from various ständl (wurstel to poké bowls) but you cannot bring bottles or cans of any kind; security will confiscate. But they are happy to sell you weisser gespritz in liter glasses. There is plenty of parking on a designated meadow below, with a 5min hike to the stage. Overall a great venue if you can manage the 1.75 hour trip...
