One of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Austria is Lake Wolayer or Wolayersee with an elevation of 6,400 ft. Plan a hike to this lake and enjoy the beauty of nature as u walk up the mountain and cross the border from Italy to Austria or viceversa. Its landscape is amazing during the summer as u will encounter a variety of rare and colorful flowers. The greenery of the area is impressive despite the altitude, ☝🏼don't forget...

Seekopf or Capolago which rises proudly above the Wolayersee is probably the most notorious non-alpinistic climing in Carnic Alp. The whole time you are on your hands (passages 2nd, somewhenre 3rd grade) and the rock is totally sedimentary. Despite, this mountain has stolen my heart. It takes whole of you, but return you changed. Wolayersee is great though, but nothing without...

Eine wirklich wunderschöne Wanderstrecke zum See, von Nostra aus. Gehzeit beträgt von der Kapelle ca. 3 Stunden. Direkt von Nostra ca. 4 Stunden!

Die Strecke ist sehr gut ausgebaut, nur würde ich trotzdem nur geübten Wanderern die Strecke empfehlen, weil sie doch zeitlich relativ anspruchsvoll ist. Ich war heute knapp 6 Stunden unterwegs, ohne Pausen dazu zu zählen!

Der See ist am Fuße der Hohen Warte eingebettet. Ein sehr schöner Ausblick.

Vor Ort kann man auch beim Alpenverein einkehren und sich mit Essen stärken.

Kann die Tour zum See jedem Empfehlen, der gerne in den Bergen ist und die Natur...
