Hochkönig Bergbahnen - Ski amadé — Attraction in Mühlbach am Hochkönig

We choose the resort because there are a lot of blue marked pistes - that should be great for our kids! Actually, it was a nightmare. Some parts were marked as blue, but they were absolutely not suitable for beginner skiers. Steep pistes were not prepared - all icy with little powder on top; which, in fact, was really dangerous for beginners. I would not recommend for the family ski vacation. I am aware of the fact, that weather does not always allow good pistes preparation, but families with children should be warned when buying tickets. On the other hand, there were also positive parts. The cable car's parking place is huge, you can find place. The restroom has a very nice design inside the building where the cable car starts. You can buy the ticket with cash or card, you can get discount with the special card (for example summer card). Staff are realy helpful and kind. This is a terrible ski area. It too low down and there is very little high mountain pist. All the way back to Mühlbach you have to ski into the valley every time.
