Not a normally accessible chateau. It can be seen nicely when sailing the boat. Or to walk from Obertraun - a great walk. The three-towered castle, built in 1522, is located on Hallstatt Lake just opposite the town. From where you can see that best. It was owned by the most influential families and even by the Russian ambassador in the nineteenth century. It is private and not open to visitors.

Sadly it's not available for the public. Along the path from Obertraun it's protected with a high fence, you can't even see it. Maybe from a boat from Hallstatt.
