The Groppensteinschlucht was a beautiful place, with a scenic route by the gorge. The price isn’t too bad, and with Kärnten Card it is completely free to enter once. You need to have some stamina if you want to take on this journey, as it can get somewhat steep, which is also why sturdy shoes are needed. The path is structured pretty well, and you can’t get lost on the way. In the summer when the sun is out, it can get quite hot there, so bringing enough water is recommended. The path can be sometimes a bit steep or the stair steps a bit high. It could be difficult for smaller children, people with walking difficulties or small dogs.
Compared to Raggaslucht this one has more nature wide view. Only the walk down is a large part over the road. Last piece of trail down is rocky.
