Hauser Kaibling — Attraction in Politische Expositur Gröbming

A mountain called hauser kaibling consists of 2 points (cable cars). Free with the Schladming ticket. The first cable car is closed. You reach the point at 1415 meters. There is a restaurant and some activities for children and various walking trails. Cable car number 2 to the point at 1868 meters (an area currently under construction but everything is neat and defined). There is a very beautiful and special children's trail starting from the station to Agam and Bhera (it is not easy to get back up). You can do it with strollers but not easy. A wide and comfortable trail (not paved) along the entire route. There are activities for children, games with a ball (purchased at the first station of the trail) and used by the children along the entire route. Hauser Kaibling is one mountain of a ski resort comprised of a total of 4 near the town of Schladming. Elevation is up to around 2000m. It's quite a popular area for locals and tourists to ski in. Thus, it can be very busy on the weekend or holidays. The slopes of this mountain are broader than of the others and prepared OK (at least better than on the other mountains) but limited in number. Good, well-maintained lifts and clean facilities.

The food was only mediocre. In total it feels rather towards a mass tourism place (part of Ski Amadé). Parking was convenient though, free of charge and right next to the lift. If you go to Schladming center, you'll also find lots of bars and restaurants for Aprés ski available if that's what you're looking for. Excellent infrastructure and professional preparation of ski slopes. Great appreciation for the owners and crew of this ski station. Unfortunately, climate change is probably the biggest problem for the business owner and us skiers. We just shortened our stay in Schladming yesterday 17.03.2020 because it is impossible to ski: it is too warm. Everything is melting. One of the thermometers at the lift was plus 17C at 12.00! Is too many people skiing, we had to wait over 30 minutes in the line. Horrors.
