Ein schönes kleines Naturkundemuseum der hiesigen Flora und Fauna mit einem gläsernen Aussichtsturm und Panormablick in die Kalkalpen. Das Museum ist modern gestaltet mit einem kleinen Kinosaal, in dem ein Naturkundefilm in Dauerschleife läuft. Der ist sehr anschaulich gestaltet. Die interaktiven Stationen in dem Museum lassen sich in englischer und deutscher Sprache bedienen. Der Aussichtsturm über fünf Etagen lässt sich per Treppe oder Lift erklimmen. Mit dem Lift kommt man allerdings nur in die obere, nicht in die Zwischenetagen. 6,50€ für eine Erwachsene Person ist absolut OK. Angeschlossen ist ein kleiner Shop mit Souveniers, Büchern, etc.

...da wir uns die Phyrn-Priel Sommer-Karte geleistet haben, kommen wir nun in Gegenden, die wir ansonst aus kostengründen, nie am Radar hatten. Aber jetzt macht es richtig Spass. Die Gegend bei Windischgarsten ist herrlich um zu wandern, Rad zufahren, Bogen schießen und vieles mehr. Den Kids und uns wird es da nie langweilig. Oben am Aussichtsturm angelangt, erwartet Dich ein unbeschreiblicher, vorausgesetzt die Sonne scheint und es gibt einen wolkenlosen Himmel, Ausblick...angeblich mit 21 "2000"der. Ich fühlte mich wie in die Kindheit zurückversetzt....

This place has a magnificent view of Kalk-alpen region from top..amazingly green and mountaneous..peaceful...you can reach this place by car but when you get closer, pleasw be careful about very narrow roads.there is also small park for kids to play...also I recommend to drive around in order to enjoy marvellous landscape of Austrian Alps..very nice, clean, peaceful villages embedded into...

Numerous things to do. Hiking, sledding (two choices, fast or slow), archery or use one of the three mountainbike trails. At the top there is a great view of the valley and the mountains in the distance. There is a restaurant at the top where you can buy some food or drinks. The area is neat and clean and the people are very friendly. I surely...
