Disappointing experience due to the waiter’s behavior

We visited Panorama Alm in Saalbach for lunch during our ski trip with a group of eight friends. The place has a beautiful view, and the food is decent, but unfortunately, our experience was completely ruined by the attitude of one of the waiters.

From the beginning, this man (tall, wearing a dark neck gaiter, with a deep voice) was sarcastic in his comments and had an unfriendly attitude, especially towards the women in our group. At one point, he even told us that the restaurant’s coffee was “really bad,” using inappropriate language, but said he would bring it anyway if we still wanted it. His way of speaking was completely unprofessional.

The worst part happened when it was time to pay. By mistake, I tried to pay my bill again, not realizing that my husband had already done so. When I noticed the mistake, I explained that we could sort it out since two of our friends still hadn’t paid. His response was unacceptable: he looked at me and another female friend and aggressively said, “You two be quiet. I will only talk to the men here.” His tone was rude, sexist, and completely disrespectful.

I find it unacceptable that a restaurant allows someone with this attitude to work in customer service. No one should be treated this way, and discrimination should never be tolerated. We left feeling upset and with a very bad impression. I would not return and definitely do not...

Very rude service. Vibe was very much trying to get as many people in as possible without any consideration for the experience of the Individual. I’ve been skiing for many years and of course understand that if a couple take a large table there it is an unwritten rule they might have to share. Me and my wife were on a small bench and the waiter rudely picked up our belongings (including coats/bags which had valuables in) hung them up and then forced two people onto this tiny table. It would have been a bit tight for 4 people who knew each other let alone a group of strangers. If this had been handled differently then maybe I could understand (ie is it okay if these people share as we are really busy) but the sheer arrogance of the waiter was beyond belief. There are some great places on the mountain with high customer service including Montana royale that’s just up the slope. Would pick almost anywhere than return here regardless of it being nice inside. I’d also say this experience is not unique as saw a group of guys leave after being forced to share and a couple who had to move tables three times. Lost it's soul. After 12 year as regular customers we say "Good bye" to Panorama alm. The food is still kind of good enough but very overpriced. The service is not too bad, with several nice and helpful waiters. But the atmosphere has changed dramatically, from being full of local charm making all the guest feel special and welcome, to become a nothing else but a techno party (you can forget to being able to have a conversation), prioritizing people/groups getting very drunk drinking expensive champagne.
