This is a very popular gorge, and for good reasons. The second half of the "ride" it is breathtaking and the end of the trail offers a surprise which I won't spoil. It's well maintained. Definitely a must visit. My 4 star choice was because of a combination of things: - the first half is obstructed by wire nets. - I feel that there's a needless set of long stairs and they could've carved an alternate route, it feels all this needless effort is for the circular stairs to be used. But here might be other factors at play why they chose to do this - it feels like it needs more details along the way, like what rock layers can we notice, etc. or history(if it has). It's a little devoid of informational elements - price. Admission is 12 euro. While not steep per se, you can definitely see they had a lot of work to do to make the gorge usable for tourism, the trail is not that long (not short either) and I was never a fan of setting higher prices to natural wonders that should be more accessible to everyone

Totally worth it The place is easy to navigate to. Altho finding a place to park might be a problem on busy days. I made my visit in summer ( 2020 ) and we had to wear masks even after we passed through the cashiers, i think it depends on people either if they hate it or don’t care about it. It’s a beautiful walk through the rocky canyon ( correct me if I’m wrong ) it was really really beautiful. Sometimes the moss made it look more like Iceland than Austria. Definitely good but make sure to watch the weather if you want clear blue waters, when it rains the water turns more of a muddy color. The walk to one side took about half an hour and it was great. At the end you have a small place to sit and a giant waterfall. In a shorter way, If you’re planning to go to here i absolutely recommend it, It’s a beautiful place to visit.

The Liechtensteinklamm is an amazing gorge absolutely worth visiting. There are very amazing views while walking a narrow trail and various staircases. At the end of the gorge you‘ll be rewarded by an amazing waterfall. Be aware that in the morning and around noon, you’ll experience longer queues at the entrance, which might induce up to an hour of waiting time. Walking time of the trail in one direction is around 30-40 minutes with kids. Please be aware that some passages are slippery. Furthermore, some passages are very dark tunnels. The trail is very safe though. Parking situation is challenging with 5 only very narrow parking lots. Since many tourists are discouraged by the filling level of the early parking lots 3-5, there is often some space in the later parking lots (closer to the entrance) 1+2.

This was our second visit, the first was 10 years ago. Then the klamm was walkable on ramps near the water, but during the passed time it got too many visitors and the place degraded. Today you still get to be near the water but to get there you have to go down about 250 steps which you have to climb back on your way out. You see less water than before, the entrance is relatively expensive (10 euros), and the klamm is covered with safety nets because of rock falls. If you have problems with stairs, don't even try. If you have small children (3-4 years) you will have to carry them. The bottom line is that this place is still impressive, but it was more so in the past, and you need to be aware about the stairs. Maybe the stairs are advertised, but I didn't see it, and it should be more prominent.

Gorge itself is such an amazing place. Nice walk to the waterfall and back. The power of water at its best. There are a lot of steps, but nothing too hard. My 4 year old kids managed it without a problem even in rainy weather. It was a really rainy day and there were still a lot of people, so sometimes it was very crowded and not very comfortable to stop for a second and take some photos. Can't imagine what it looks like when the weather is sunny. There are two restaurants, both nice with good food and a few small shops with souvenirs. Also if you have a SalzburgerLand card, you don't need to wait in the long line for tickets, use your QR code directly on the turnstile and go. Saved us a lot of time.

Stunning gorge with beautiful views. Went there with a 2.5 years old and the trip was managable, although the many steps of stairs there provided a challenge for him. The whole trip tooks us around 1.5 hour, including many stops to adore the views. One of great safety features of the trail were the railings with minimal spaces in the lower part, keeping our son safe from tripping or even trying to climb over. Had no issue with parking, queues or crowded spaces at the time of our visit (06/2024), noted there were floods in other regions of Austria so that might have striped the number of visitors. Bonus point for clean and fresh toilets at the ticket office.
