EXPI Hands on Science Center — Attraction in Sankt Margareten im Rosental

Advanced physics made accessible to kids (and adults) by offering experimental setups to be operated by the visitors!

Very instructive - we did spent 3 very enlightening hours there.

Bernoulli, Moire, Foucault, da Vinci,... you name the scientific celebrity, they have an experiment.

Even very specialist equipment like Tesla coils or an active working particle detector are present.

During our visit in early September 2017 they had a special exhibition section about the ART (Allgemeine Relativitätstheorie, General Theory of Relativity) and Albert Einstein, but be advised that the descriptions were only in german.

Good place to go with kids on a rainy day! I wouldn't contradict the reviewers stating that four-year-olds or even younger kids might find some experiments funny and entertaining, but in order to reach some level of true understanding in my opinion the visiting children should be...

Deprimierend. Für 11€ unverschämt. Schlecht gepflegt, Experimente teils kaputt, abgenudelt, nicht nachgefüllt oder seit mindestens 2 Jahren ein Schild dran "wird gerade neu aufgebaut". Ausstellung Einstein seit Jahren unangetastet mit dementsprechend alter Technik und Infos. Außenpavillon seit Jahren statt Klimalehrraum Rumpelkammer. Personal hatte merklich schlechtes Gewissen uns Geld abzunehmen, verschwand dann sodass wir tatsächlich eine Stunde komplett alleine waren bis Spätschicht kam. Das deprimierende Szenario runden neben dem Geruch nach Schulturnhalle dann in die Tür gehängte und nie mehr abgehängte Plakate für 2019er Veranstaltungen in der Gegend ab. 2 Sterne weil einige Experimente für Kinder auch im abgenudelten Zustand interessant waren. Aber wie gesagt für den Eintritt...
