Der Speicher Längental befindet sich im Kühtai in Tirol auf etwa 1.900 m Höhe. Er ist ein künstlich angelegter Stausee und Teil des Kraftwerks Sellrain-Silz. Der See dient der Stromerzeugung, insbesondere durch Nutzung von Schmelzwasser im Sommer. Umgeben von beeindruckender Berglandschaft wirkt er fast wie ein natürlicher Alpensee und ist auch ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Wanderer.

Speicher halt in einer schönen Landschaft. Leider ist es zZt nicht möglich komplett um den Speicher herumzulaufen. Aufgrund einer größeren Baustelle ist es untersagt. Ein (sichtbarer) Hinweis vorher wäre sinnvoll, zumal es sich offensichtlich um eine länger anhaltende Sperrung handelt.

Herrlich gelegen. Wäre die Staumauer nicht , könnte man meinen, es handelt sich um einen Natursee. Kommt man von der Kühtaistraße, kann man Richtung Kühtai eine Rast einlegen und die besondere Atmosphäre geniessen. Im Sommer kann man auch schon mal ein Smalltalk mit den dort grasenden Kühen halten.;-)). Als Fotopoint auf jeden...
