I was here for the Formula 1 Austrian GP. Stayed in Graz (approx 80 km from the track with car) over the weekend and rented a car to travel to and from Red Bull Ring. Arrival to the ring was smooth, we decided to leave around 7 am from Graz every day. Parking when arriving was easy and police showed the way to parking lots. You must figure out what parking is best for you yourself there is no guidance, but in general they are all pretty close. We had tickets to Tribune T3 which is a temporary stand that is only built when there is a need. This stand is located on the back of the track in turn 3 and the highest point of the track, view is great from here. You have to prepare for walking quit, to get to the stand. You have to walk outside the whole track to the back to get to the stand which takes about 15-20 minutes from the Fan Zone. You can see a lot of the action around the whole track since the location is so high up. Also there is a lot of overtaking in this turn for F1 cars. The view and scenery is wonderful. This is a really beautiful track built with the landscape. There is a TV screen (as you can see on the pictures) but it was to far away so you could not read the text this is a big minus especially in qualifying and practice were we could follow the times at all. And phone coverage is none existing with the large crowd all trying to access the network authentication same time You can buy food (burgers and sausages) and there is different stands to buy soft drinks (red bull) and beers. Restrooms are plenty so no queues at all. Leaving the parking after the event is a total disaster...this is were the organizers really have to do some work. It took us between 1-2 hours just to get out of the parking. And you really need to make your way otherwise you will never get out. There is no organized queue to get out so everyone is just driving to the small, single rode exit and then there is chaos...

I visited the Red Bull Ring for the 2019 MotoGP race. Nestled in the Austrian hills by Spielburg the setting is great. Getting to & from the circuit using my motorbike was easy. I used Car Park 5, parking was free...note bikes & cars are all parked on grass although all bikes got given a KTM plastic side stand pad to prevent the bike falling over. Helmets & gear can be stored for 9euro/day at the bike park if required. The Circuit is a 20 minute walk away from the bike park. There were loads of merchandise and food stalls around. I sat in The Red Bull Tribune Stands and had a great view of a lot of the circuit. The large TV screens helped to follow all the action & the pa system was very good. Prices for food & drinks are typically high so I took my own. This is ok but no glass bottles permitted as you would expect. Toilets were cleaned regularly. There was live music Friday & Saturday in the afternoon and even a foam tub if your into that...seemed popular with those who had a beer or two 😂. On race day there was a aero display and a bike stunt team to keep the entertainment levels high. A great win by Dovi on the Ducati was the highlight of the day.

A review for motorcycle riders. Is there anything else one can say about this track, that is owned by RedBull, other than that it is great?! Well, OK, let's be more specific. Altough the track looks boring on paper, it is a big andrenaline ride. The track has huge differences in height. Not the biggest, but on very short distance and it will strike you as you ride it. Grit is very very good. But there are things to be aware! The tracks eats up brake pads 3x faster, than other race tracks. Also overheating of brakes is very common. I advise absolutely new brake fluid, Motul 660 as minimum. This is the track, where I realised only Brembo Z04 pads are pads that can cope with such strain. The engine get's also A lot of strain here. You have a lot of straits with long acceleration. What I didn't like were the position of the flag posts. Some of them are not in good spots for my liking. The boxes are roomy and very clean. Some of them have even A toilet. That's great! The hospitability part and toilets... Well, the track is owned by RedBull... It is luxurious.

Parking for the F1 event is an absolute mess when the event ends. I would recommend to stay inside watching other categories end or rush on the exit. Otherwise people do not respect and it is an absolute chaos when using the two unique exists for the parking. Despite so, parking is free. The RedBull ring has incredible views and weather. It is in a ‘valley’ giving it a cool environment. You can almost see the whole circuit from any stand on the first and second sector. Also there are cool things to do inside, although fan zone is relatively small. There are plenty of toilets (a lot), things are quite clean despite the many drinks the dutch people take. Water on toilets is clean and you can drink from it, is cold as well. There is a lot of preparation for rain too. It is easy to walk without getting yourself dirty. Circuit is small and you can walk through it with relative ease, because they divide the walking flow into two paths. You can bring your metallic bottles inside to watch the Formula 1 event!

Everything on the track was really great – the Porsche Cup, F3, F2, F1, Legends Parade, Driver Parade, air shows – it was all incredible. However, I can't say the same about the facilities at the Red Bull Ring. The track is already quite remote, and if you're not camping, you have to spend the entire day there, which made it very crowded with inadequate facilities for such crowds. The toilets were clean, and getting food and drinks wasn't too difficult, but during the heat wave weekend, there were very limited shaded areas to rest. The tents in the fanzone with entertainment were able to serve only a few people, and we had to cram under roadside trees with lots of people. Between races, we struggled to stay alive; unfortunately, it fell short in that regard. At the very least, more umbrellas could have been set up. This photo is from Saturday and not right after or before the major event on the track
