What a place. Should be a compulsory two hour trip for all visitors of the Attersee. The journey begins at the creek where it is possible to cool down somewhat from the summer heat and continues along an enchanted forest and its many adventure points/stops offering games and stories to unravel. The trail is spotlessly clean, not a piece of rubbish or cigarette butts. There's all kinds of pieces of creative entertainment for the children along the trail, though even we took the time to read through the stories.

Der Nixenfall ist ein richtiger Geheimtipp für alle Naturbegeisterte, die es gerne etwas ruhiger bevorzugen.
Die Anreise zum Startpunkt der Wanderung zum Nixenfall ist von allen Seiten relativ einfach, mit vielen Tankstellen und E-Ladestationen am Weg. Die Panoramen, die man durch das Abfahren des Weges um den Attersee erblicken kann, sind beeindruckend. Oft reicht es aus, das Fahrzeug abzustellen und einfach nur die Natur am Weg zum Ziel zu genießen.
Der Wanderweg ist inklusive Rundweg ca. 3-4 KM lange und bietet beim Ausgangspunkt einen im Winter kostenfrei zur Verfügung stehenden Parkplatz. Aktuell ist dieser nur im Winter gratis und ab Frühling wieder entgeltlich benutzbar.
Der Nixenfall ist vor allem im Februar mit seinen imposanten Eisgebilden ein zu bestaunendes Naturwunder. Wichtig dabei ist jedoch ein gutes Schuhwerk für die teilweise vorhandenen Eisflächen am Wanderweg.
Der Wanderweg bedarf keiner großen Kondition und ist daher auch für Trittsichere Familien gut geeignet. Aufgrund der Dauer des Wanderwegs ist dieser auch als Tagesausflug zu empfehlen.
Ich kann den Wanderweg all jenen empfehlen, die jenseits von allen Tourismus und Menschengedränge dem entspannenden Rauschen, im Einklang mit dem wunderschönen 80 Meter hohen Nixenfall, lauschen möchten.
