I want to especially recognize Manager DANIEL at this location. I hope upper management can recognize and acknowledge him in some way. I had purchased a roundtrip ticket at the Patscherkofelbahn cable car location- the service counter had informed us that the roundtrip could be adjusted at the Glungezerbahn location, which was not the case (happens to quite a few people) and so we faced issues on the other side as its a round trip only for the same location. Though Daniel has notified this issue to the other location, it still comes up at times. However, when I spoke with Daniel, he resolved the issue and even met with me at the station. We’re staying close to this cable car and we used it to get up to the Stone Pine path with magnificent views of the Tyrol valley. The same tickets that took us up were used to get down at Patscherkofel Cable Car. The only nit was getting back to Tulfes as there’s no direct bus. We went into Innsbruck on the J and came out on the 540. There were 2 restaurants on the walk. We stopped at both. While the route wasn’t incredibly difficult it seemed long at times and at 2000m when we’re used to seal level made the difference. Can fully recommend this path...

Phänomenal für Rodel-Begeisterte und für bequeme Rodler! :D

Die Preise für die Seilbahn an sich sind ganz schön happig (deswegen 1 Stern Abzug), wer aber erst ab 11 Uhr vormittags fährt, spart sich ein paar Euros.

Bei der Mittelstation gibt es einen Rodelverleih mit Rennrodeln, aber auch mit langsameren Modellen oder Zweipersonen-Rodeln. Die Preise lagen bei sehr preiswerten € 5-8 pro Rodel für den ganzen Tag!

Wir sind dann mehrmals von der Mittelstation zur Bergstation hochgefahren und runtergerodelt. Den Rodel hinaufziehen muss man also nicht zwangsläufig!

Die Rodelbahn ist komplett von der Schipiste abgesondert und dadurch fühlt man sich ziemlich sicher. In den Kurven waren ein paar Eisplatten, aber zum Glück kann ja jeder selbst entscheiden, mit welchem Tempo man runterfahren möchte. Drängeleien gibt es keine, denn die Bahn ist schön breit.

Von der Mittelstation zur Talstation gibt es keine Rodelverbindung. Wir sind mit der Gondel nach unten gefahren.

Einen solchen Ausflug kann ich vorallem Sonnenbegeisterten ans Herz legen, denn wir waren bei der Bergstation stehts über der Wolkendecke!

TIP 1: Wer nicht in einem überfüllten Gasthaus auf einen Platz warten möchte (sowohl im Gasthaus fünf Gehminuten von der Bergstation, als auch bei der Mittelstation war alles gerammelt voll), sollte sich eine eigene Jause mitnehmen ;)

TIP 2 zum Schluss: Es gibt an bestimmten Wochentagen (siehe HP der Glungetzerbahn) ein Nachtrodeln, man braucht aber fix eine Stirnlampe, da die Rodelbahn bei Nacht überhaupt nicht...
