Greifvogelpark Umhausen — Attraction in Umhausen

Absolutely amazing show! I love animals, so I visited A LOT of different ZOOs in my time and none of them will show you birds of prey like you will see them here. They fly over your heads (and I mean really right over, cause they learned people love it so sometimes you have to almost dodge them, the fly so close), they play catch in the air, they sit on the trainer's arm while he's walking among the audience, they're playful, they're visibly happy and clearly have a great connection to the staff. You absolutely love to see it. This is NOT your average eagle in a cage in a ZOO. And the tricks these winged fellas pull off! If you haven't seen what a falcon, eagle or owl can really do, you'll be shocked! You'll see a master dogfighting falcon, a 300 km/h eagle, a smart-ass pair of ravens, another eagle that takes a bath in a pond and then yet another that actually cuddled with its trainer (that was the cutest thing I saw for a long time)..

I don't think I smiled that much for months! Felt like a child.

Amazing bird show. You must see when around. The personnel is very nice and provide amazing commentary during the show. The bird are unbelievably trained. The show constantly amaze yh ou as the bird fly super low and almost touching you. Kids were amazed and adults as well. You can see all the birds in the cages. Also, recommending buying combo ticket for Otzli village which is next...

Diese Rezension bezieht sich ausschließlich auf den Greifvogelpark. Diesen Park konnten wir dank der Sommercard kostenlos besuchen. Die Vorführungen fangen zu festen Zeiten an und ein Einlass ist nach Anfang nicht mehr möglich. Dies sollte man auch bei der Planung der Anreise beachten, der Fußweg vom Parkplatz bis zum Eingang nimmt mit Kindern gerne einige Minuten in Anspruch.

Ich selber habe schon einige Greifvogelvorstellungen besuchen können, diese ist aber dank der einzigartigen Kulisse und der Sitzordnung in einer Arena wirklich einmalig. Es wird sehr viel über die Tiere erzählt, was auch sehr kurzweilig war. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr sympathisch und gehen auch mit den Vögeln einwandfrei um.

Ein Besuch lohnt sich und hier sollte man die Arbeit um Tier- und Artenschutz dankbar honorieren.

Ich weiß nicht, ob ich jemals noch einmal ins Ötztal kommen werde, aber wenn, dann ist dies eine fest eingeplante Station.
