Amazing gorge. Beautiful landscape, great views into the gorge and at the top there are great views downt into the valley. At the entrance there is a playground, bathrooms cleaner that what you'd expect, and a restaurant with local dishes, which we didn't try. And a kitchy souvenir shop. The walkways in the gorge were well build and wide enough to occasionally pass somebody, but it was good that it is intended as a one-way path as it would've been too narrow for constant opposite traffic. Right off the start, there is a interested scenery of an battered, half-renewed wooden aqueduct spilling it's water back into the creek. After, you get many great views into the gorge, down to the creek that cuts into the mountain, and you get some opportunities to step out of the walkway and into the basin of the gorge right next to or into the creek. The only bummer was the longer than expected walk down back to the staring point. There were great views but quite steep and you really need to watch your knees if you've got a...
Read moreGorge is beautiful but you have to pay 7eu to enter one way (there are barriers) but at the end there are no barriers and nothing stopping people from coming into the gorge that way. Parking is 4eu. The people working there are not at all helpful, nobody could tell us what to expect, we asked about the combi ticket (which costs 17.50eu) and they couldn't answer our Q's, just pointed at a board with pictures of the places included. We bought the combi ticket and later found out that the caves (included in the ticket) were closed. We asked for a refund since we couldn't use the ticket, and this was denied. The person at the kiosk was rude and said that she couldn't help us and that we could use the ticket until October - not helpful as we were leaving to head home the next day. She didn't want to help us or give us any information that could be useful regarding the combi ticket. This left a sour taste in our mouth after...
Read moreThe gorge is really wonderful. We really liked it. It's easy to do it with kids too. The restaurant is not at the end of the hike as somebody wrote it. Its need additional 30mins hike. We decided to come back at the same track altough the suggested track back is a different path. It's wrtitten on a sign the top you can go back on the same path but you need to yield to oncoming traffic. Since there was not crowded we could easily go back to the same path. The ticket seller was unfriendly from the start, questioning our children’s ages. When leaving, the exit through the restaurant (clearly marked as the way out) was locked, and he almost didn’t let us out, so we had to crawl under the gate. We decided to spend our euros elsewhere and went to another restaurant. That's way I gave...
