The Austrians rate this walk as easy but it's true only from the technical point of view. It is about 12-15 km there and back and you ascent 500 meters. Prepare 6 euros ( in coins) for the toll road payment. The views from up are beautiful, and the lake is charming. There is a nice restaurant also. Higly recommend walk ( it took us 6 hours total including breaks)

Great place with lovely views! I really recommend to go for a long walk to the lake. The parking below the valley costs 6 euro. The trail isn't as easy as is said to be. But if you're walking slowly it is very pleasant. The length is about 14km (depends on the fact if you use the shortcuts).

A beautiful mountain lake at a whopping 1700m above sea level. Pure and untouched.
