Orange Creek is an absolutely beautiful place, without a doubt. The overall experience staying there was wonderful, though I'd firmly divide it between the area itself and the facility which I stayed at.||||The facility was great. Orange Creek inn is a two story building that is almost immediately next to a waterfront (divided only by road). I have to mention the lobby, which is nice, and I enjoyed spending time in it even late at night to watch the darkened seaside, the moths flying outside, or call friends, though the lack of soundproofing in the walls meant I couldn't talk too loud, as the building is fairly small. Some of the views offered from the inn are impeccable, and the driveway entrance is truly amazing, and clearly well maintained: undeniably a reflection of the outstanding service offered here. The innkeeper was an amazing and friendly woman who clearly is extremely proactive and has a strong attention to detail and thoroughness, as she somehow is able to fix issues within just a day or a couple of hours to them being mentioned, and seems to always be seeking ways to improve the facility. On that note, if she sees this review, maybe she'll consider putting more decorations in the hallways, as they are almost frighteningly empty and liminal. In classic family island fashion, there is a store attached to the inn, which has pretty much all of the necessities one would need. ||||The rooms themselves are okay. I didn't have much of an issue with the space, though I'm sure others might. The TV only having one channel when we went there was objectively kind of mediocre, but being able to connect other devices to it made up for it. The fridge and furniture was nice, although a shelf was broken in one of the drawers. The only features of the rooms I seriously have to complain about is the insanely small and restrictive kitchenette, and the bizarre architecture in the bathrooms. The kitchenette worked out okay, but it was so cramped, and there really wasn't even anywhere to really rest food while cooking. As for the bathroom, having a sink hanging almost directly over the toilet seat led to a nasty cut on my leg while getting up from using the toilet. The beds, however, were amazing, and always well maintained, and nothing beats sitting in them, with the lamp adjacent, and listening to the sound of waves nearby.||||The absolute highlight of Orange Creek is the surrounding area. The adjacent road can make for some nice walks for the not particularly adventurous, and there are plenty of fruit trees (dillies being the highlight) along them, as well as a decent but rather short stretch of sandy beach to walk on before being broken up by rocks. The nearby bay, where docked boats and evidence of a lot of fish-gutting can be rather smelly, but the views at night of a beautiful sunset almost silhouetting . But for the adventurous, such as myself, I'd HIGHLY recommend exploring the channel dividing the land the inn is on from some sort of peninsula, as well as the peninsula itself, which has some incredible, long beach walks (that eventually lead to some sort of other resort or inn or something and a dead end way on the other side) and dense bush that was a rush to explore. I personally recommend getting a bag to hold belongings and carrying it across the channel on a long stick so they don't get wet, noting that the channel itself is quite strong and changes direction sometimes. Swimming in front of the inn is always a thrill, and the constant current keeps the water...

This hotel is the perfect home base for a laid-back vacation, whether it's for catching up on some R&R or really exploring the island at your own pace. They do have airport transfers available, plus bicycles and kayaks available for rent too. The team is so friendly and helpful they had me feeling like I was a long lost relative from the very moment I arrived. ||||The location is nothing short of perfect. I went with a friend and we had an ocean view room, and I have to say that waking up to a view like that is something I would love to be able to do everyday. The hotel is both beach front and creek front, and it is such a unique experience to see the point where the ocean becomes a creek. The surrounding natural environment is just stunning and there's so much of it just within walking distance. ||||There is a convenience store attached to the resort, and at least some rooms do include a kitchenette area so you can easily save and create a more personal experience by cooking your own meals if you would like. But there are also several restaurants nearby to try, including one that's about a 10-minute walk away which also can deliver. Plus there's a bar/liquor store nearby too and who can complain when wine is served at $2 a glass! ||||The room was very clean and well appointed. Nothing fancy (aside from that amazing view!) but suited our needs very well! Hot water worked perfectly and while the shower was a little on the small side, it was just fine and definitely added to the authentic Caribbean feel of the property. ||||There are only a few "downsides" which do not detract from the hotel by any means but could enhance the overall experience: the first being that the area can be remote and cab fares can be pricey. I would recommend renting a car if you'd like to really explore the island otherwise a lot of it becomes inaccessible. Also because the surrounding area is very, very quiet a lot of restaurants and stores were not open and it seemed you had to call well in advance to be able to do anything. Keep in mind too that the resort & convenience store closes down on Saturdays so it's worthwhile to make arrangements beforehand. But again these are all just very minor suggestions. ||||Overall there is very little I will do differently when I go again next time, and for sure I will be back! Just go with great company and a sense of adventure and you'll have a...

Sherrie was a wonderful host. We had a room facing the beach rose to that experience every morning. Sherrie gave us plenty of options for places to eat, purchase items and for tours for the island. She even arrange our car rental.||Cars are not necessary for your stay but needed if you want to tour the whole island, there is options for bikes to move around. Airport pick-up and drop off is also complimentary done by Sherrie the owner of Orange Creek Inn. We rented a car for 2 days, used it to travel to Shana's for my birthday dinner and the next day to see the whole island.||Dinner at Shauna was exquisite and the island tour was awesome. We ate at Yardies for Jamaican food and for conch salad.||The Heritage was an uplifiting and spiritual experience on the southern part of the island.||The beaches across from the Inn is untouched white sand clear blue water where you see sting rays, fishes starfishes etc. Great for kayaking too which we did.||We had a chance to mix with the locals on the island, the people are very friendly, mannerly and very helpful.||I stayed 5 days in Cat Island and it is unforgettable..||Will definitely...
