Here's a tip to all the past and future visitors and reviewers, STOP harvesting live shells, sand dollars, starfish etc. I see SO many pictures of clearly live (or recently living) animals that people see and take and dry out. Its illegal and even if it wasn't, would you take a bag of garbage and dump it in the woods? The mentality of "well its just me and there's so many of these things, it wont hurt" is as ignorant as it gets. You're not from here, you leave and for you its a happy memory. We live here (Florida near the beach since the '50s and its the same thing) And as evidenced by the amount of pictures, its every other person that thinks this way. But you're the same people that get gored by bison in Yellowstone for that all important selfie or make gators lose their fear of humans from feeding until they kill someone, or think ivory makes for a beautiful decoration. There are many analogies. The rules don't apply to you because you feel entitled.
Very beautiful, peaceful place, we boat over from FL occasionally. We will come here for decades, so please stop destroying it for my kids children and...

The Lowlights; Theft. WATCH YOUR STUFF and LOCK YOUR CAR. Rough road. It can be crowded. No toilet - same as most other beaches.
The beach is easy to find. Recommend on or close to a weekend you go before 11, as the parking can get crowded up. It is a 10m walk from the parking lot to the beach. If you want privacy go way right from where you get to the beach; past the shallow rock shelf in the water, but know the risk of theft will increase. If privacy is not your thing, stay in the middle or go left toward the homes. You will find shade in the sand until 2pm or so, then you’re heating up.
If not for the theft it...
Read moreWe heard great things about 10 bay from visitors of all areas. It was a gorgeous bay, with a wide swath of crystal blue-green water. You could walk out 50 yds, still be only waist deep and continue to see the color of your toenails. The beach itself is not as "white sand" as others and only fingernail thin. As with many beaches of the area, it was sparse with beach-goers.
The beach is tucked away from the main road. An SUV is suggested for the ¼ mile drive of mud and rocky outcroppings.
We definitely enjoyed the beach and wanted to love it based on friends reviews. However, we could only like it as, beyond the still, crystalline waters, it was not much different than other beaches on an island of...
