Hoopers Bay — Attraction in Exuma

Great beach, but to everyone considering renting a property, please stay away from Bahama Breeze owned by Gary and Vee Matheson in Hooper's Bay! We had a terrible experience (dirty: body hair in the bed, unwashed towels, everything was broken) and the owners stopped responding after promising a refund. Their property was taken down from VRBO after multiple violations so I could not post a review there....

An amazing beach! Look for the beach access sign in the main road and then park on the side of the road. Walk between a couple houses through the grass on some platforms and you’ll reach it.

We had a very windy day here so it was difficult to snorkel or swim with the turtles (bear the far right sided docks)! But otherwise when the sun is out, the turquoise color...

While it was difficult to find initially Hooper's Bay was absolutely worth the effort. The beach was empty and the water was perfect. The best part though was the turtles we got to interact with in the water. While we were standing in the ocean 3 turtles just swam right up to us! Definitely a highlight...
