Iguanas.....not my thing! We visited as part of a booked tour. We were permitted to feed the iguanas with green lettuce, however warned not to get too close as they can bite. Personally I threw the lettuce and kept my distance, I'm not fond of reptiles and their unpredictable nature. There were other tourists present and they enjoyed getting close.

The day we visited was cloudy thus not many iguanas were present (this was fine by me!!) Apparently on a sunny day the beach area is awash with lots of them.

The iguanas are the star attraction here. They are not aggressive, so you can get up close and feed them without issue. For us, the highlight of this stop was the water. OMG! It is some of the clearest, most beautiful water we have ever seen (and we've been to most of the Caribbean islands). *Save this post* escape to 🇧🇸 for some winter sun! *things to do: take a day trip from exuma main island to the cays where you can swim with nurse sharks, meet the swimming pigs, go to iguana cay and more. You can also take this trip from main land Nassau but I highly recommend staying in exuma and doing the excursions from there in the morning as you’ll get to see a lot more. Other activities from main land exuma include: turtle beach and chat n chill beach with the sting ray! #bahamas #solotrip #solotravel #solotraveller #visitbahamas #travelbahamas
