Rude. Unfriendly to cruisers. Stopped here for fuel and for dinner. No idea how much we were going to spend on fuel to fill up the cat but on our way to spend a grand at dinner and security tells us he just talked to the boss and we can’t park our dingy here at this empty marina for dinner for 7. There’s no one even here and they tell us go park at the government dingy dock for $7 and walk a quarter mile to dinner. Ridiculous. Someone else told us the fuel is sludge anyhow. Won’t be back here again and don’t get me started about the new Bahamas cruising and other fees. These people obviously don’t want us here. Come to Charleston SC where we know how to treat the tourist who put dinner on our tables.

To respond. I understand everyone works hard at you Marina. And I will say it’s beautiful. The ground, the wall, the Marina. The food and the service inside were all wonderful. What ruined it is when you sail for 8 Hours(and that’s what your customers do.). And then we dingy in with our wives all filled up to eat and spend money at your marina and your security guard comes down and says I’m pretty sure the boss man never gave you permission to dingy here cause I just asked him. And politely we said we’re coming to eat here, fill gas here? And he says no you need to go tie up over there and walk around. That I’m sorry is BS. You can complain all you want about reviews but go down this thread. You’re consistently being rude to people that just wanted to eat at your restaurant. Good...

After many attempts to contact them for fuel and customs, we received very poor and crypted emails stating customs available upon arrival. Only to find out there is NO CUSTOMS OFFICE on premise and you must call them which according to marina office, can take hours for them to respond.

ADDITIONALLY, poor fuel quality. 1st time in all the Carribean from BVI to Bahamas, we experience a ton of water in our fuel from Flying Fish Marina. SEE PHOTOS! The slim, dirt and water was unbelievable.

1st in an email, they quoted me $5.97/gal diesel, upon arrival and filling up, they charged $6.50/gal, while fuel prices have been dropping rapidly.

DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR FUEL or services.

From the response below, you can only imagine, it’s an owner’s son, tasked with an attempt to respond or relationship employee, making NO attempt at admission or attempt to resolve the issues. Their response makes...

It is a nicely layed out marina. Room for, I believe, 10 large boats and a few smaller ones. Shore power and fuel is available. Nice restaurant and store with supplies. Rooms for rent also. The bad. Management is not to keen to have non registered people on the property having a look at the boat slips. Also the fish cleaning station is right close to where you leave the boat slips. Cool to see the vast array of fish show up when the cleaning happens. What is not cool is the very large sharks that show up as well. Bull sharks, Black tips, Nurse, and lemons. There has been the odd tiger show up as well. These guys are not small. We are talking 8 to 12 fters. So the locals are not happy that the near by beaches are not super safe with those sharptooths...

Great Location, Friendly Staff, Impeccably Maintained on Friendly Long Island! This is a great place to stay! Beautiful views and pool in a very protected marina. Wendy runs a very clean and organized operation with friendly Jamal and others who assisted us throughout our stayover between Georgetown and The Acklins. Renting a car from Mr T is a must as this is a very Long Island and worthwhile stops are scattered from the extreme south to north end beginning with Gordon’s Beach Bar, Erika’s Bakery, Rowdy Boys Restaurant, Deans Blue Hole, Jerry’s Conch Shack, Tiny’s Beach Bar, Watering Hole Liquor Store and the Cape Santa Maria/Columbus Monument area. We will return to Flying Fish soon and highly recommend!!
