Me and my fiancé went here for the day. We got a bus driver to take us for an extra charge. We arranged for him to pick us up as well but he never did. It’s a little out of the way so make sure you arrange reliable transportation or rent some sort of transportation.

Now, about the beach, it was a blast. Lots of really cool sea life to see. When we got there there was a long skinny fish chasing around a smaller one. Eventually the smaller one jumped onto the shore to get away from the bigger fish (photo of me holding a fish) I threw it back into the water and by that time 2 of the larger fish were chasing each other around and one jumped out of the water and I actually got it on video. I have added a photo of the leap.

We got there as the tide was going out and got to see all kinds of little critters in the tide pools. We snorkeled for a bit as well and saw a ton of fish and even a sting ray! I didn’t get a picture of the stingray from snorkeling but we saw a little baby one near the tide pools which is the one in the photo.

We would both recommend this beach and it will remain as one of the highlights...

Lovely sand, quiet location. Beautiful water. Typical amount of trash not a ton. The Bahamas is not exactly exciting. Everything is super flat. So no rivers, no water falls. Nothing to climb. Houses have taken most hill tops. Downtown is disgusting. 3rd world filthy. You'd never know the average salary was 50k$a year. The bars outside of the resorts are scams. 5$for a thimble full of liquor. Your best bet is to stay at a resort with all inclusive. They have the nicest beaches in cabbage beach stretch on paradise island. Four seasons is insanely beautiful. Gives you access to the Versailles gardens. All the vehicles on island are in disrepair. Beware of rentals they will scan you with a higher bill than booked on Expedia. Snorkel adventures are probably your best source of adventure off island. Weather here is hot. Rains for 2 days and drops to 75 degrees. Better of visiting Hawaii or Fiji. There's a reason the plane tickets here are only...

The place is “famous” because of the movie but as a beach it’s a stinky, dirty place. I can’t understand why people lie and call it “a great place” ? There is nothing there for making visitors stay just a little pleasant. Ton of garbage everywhere. It’s like a third world country place. The authorities don’t take care of the place. Everything is very old and broken. The sand is very dirty and you can see some garbage (cups, straws, cigarettes) on it. And the swimming is very limited because the beach is very rocky. The swimming area is small and limited. To tell the truth we just returned from Nassau, Bahamas and we are very disappointed with Jaws beach and with Love beach where there is a $5 entry fee but you get nothing for that $5. Actually you get a sitting area by a very old bar, a rest room (don’t know how does it look like) and a...
