Finally got in after 2 attempts to visit. Limited opening hours - see the photo for opening days and times.
Getting in to this museum is rediculous. Both photo ID and a bag xray is required!!! You couldnt make it up!
Theres no entry fee. However inside theres no photography allowed. Totally rediculous. Theres not one piece of equipment or display feature that cannot be researched online or found at Janes Encyclopedia for specifications .
You are instructed at the entrance - no photography is allowed. So i didnt even bother. Its such a shame.
Some great history and documents dipicting the islands history and how the Brits civilised the Arab tribes back in the 18th C by making them adhear to a signed agreement. Theres sime great historic maps drawn by tye Indians the Brits Greeks and Turks going back several centuries.
Interesting history on the rulers with great audo visual displays and graphics showing the history and formation of the BDF.
If they want people to visit then have longer opening hours and allow photography.
