The best public park in Bahrain.
Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Park (Hidd Park as I like to call it) is a great place for a family outing. The park is spacious and parking is adequate, unless there's a major event.
Hidd Park has a tower in the middle which used to house a Coffee shop with a view. It has closed down but I'm not sure if the Tower is still accessible or not.
The park has 2 major play areas for kids on either side. Both have their own unique slides and rides for kids to enjoy. Even though the swings can accommodate adults, the security guard doesn't allow it. Try the swings in cold weather since the guards aren't really actively stopping people from taking the swings or even the slides (I took them all ;)). Further into the park is a Bike Rental shop and Skateboard park (which is quite unique since Bahrain barely has these).
For adults, there are activities too. A port is available for Jetski rentals and there's a tiny pier too for fishing or just enjoying the waves (which are mostly dead in Bahrain). Boat rides are available too for BD 3 per 15 mins (the staff there allowed us an extra 10 mins for some reason, in our last visit). There's a Gym too.
If you're planning to spend most of the day at the park then there's Pizza King, Chai and Chapati, Cafeterias and Baskin Robbins for your food needs. Cold stores are scattered around the park too.
Overall, the best park in Bahrain to spend...
