Bu Maher Fort — Attraction in Muharraq Island

Bu Maher fort only opened in recent years to the public. It is accessible from the Bahrain National Museum by boat only for an additional BD1 fee. It was built around 1840 and is considered the maritime entrance of the Pearling Path. Since you go by boat, you can stay just for about 30 mins so you don't miss the boat. supposedly a historic site in Bahrain, but couldn’t be a more depressing look. The “Fort” is just in ruins, surrounded by boats from the coast guard and a café that seems to have chairs and tables next to it.
