LPOD is Bahrain’s only purpose-built water park, and while it may not be the most impressive in the region, it does a decent job of offering a fun day out, especially for families. Is it great? No. But it serves its purpose.
The park features a handful of exciting water slides that can keep both kids and adults entertained for a few hours. The children’s area is well-designed and engaging, and the lazy river is a highlight—long, relaxing, and perfect for cooling off. Some staff members are genuinely helpful and friendly, which adds to the experience, though not all seem equally enthusiastic.
That said, there are areas that clearly need attention. The changing rooms, in particular, are rundown and not well maintained. Toilets can be clogged, and while there are plenty of shower cubicles, the overall cleanliness and upkeep leave a lot to be desired. Lockers are available, but come at an extra charge—which, for the price of entry, feels a bit stingy.
For those wanting a bit of privacy or a base for a family gathering, the chalets are available for an additional fee (around 45 BD or more). They’re decent and offer a convenient way to settle in before exploring the park, but again, not luxury by any means.
The food court has a decent selection and is fairly priced. Some food options are quite good, though the service is hit or miss depending on the staff on duty—some are friendly, others seem uninterested.
LPOD also offers a seasonal membership that runs from June to November, allowing for unlimited access, including evening hours. It’s a nice option for locals or regular visitors, though the price is on the higher side considering the park’s condition.
In summary: LPOD isn’t perfect—far from it—but it fills a gap in Bahrain’s entertainment landscape. With better upkeep and more consistent service, it could be a real standout. For now, it’s a “decent but tired” attraction that delivers just enough to make it worth a visit, especially if you’re not expecting...

This is Linson Lazar
I visited the Lost Paradise on 24th July 2025, and overall it was an excellent experience.
Positive feedback.
• Staff of Lost Paradise are perfect in terms of behavior and attitude, outside and even food court. Especially Mr. Mustaq, who is controlling the shop near the Waves area. • An extraordinary level of maintaining the hygiene and a beautiful environment. • The kids' section is well organized • Good experience in the Lazy River. • To protect from the summer situation, there are many showers provided.
However, there are some concerns, which I hope will be considered and improved.
I visited the Sunway Lagoon last year in Malaysia, and that experience is not at all comparable here. But the comments, as mentioned below;
• While entry one of the lady staff suggested scanning one QR code, and there are many offers as 50% for the Entry tickets, 15% for the Food Court, etc., and it took around 15 minutes to enter for my 3 kids. Then, when we reached in food court, they asked for a reference number from the email, which was supposed to be received after filling out the QR code scanned form. Unfortunately, there are no emails at all in the inbox and Spam folder. I took again 10 minutes to fill that in food court itself, no emails again. I lost nearly half an hour for nothing. • I feel that 24 BHD is a bit high per head for the Entry ticket, if we compare with other water parks in other countries. • If any possibilities, at least allow the drinking water for the visitors to bring it with them. • Some of the rides are not moving the visitor needs to...
Read moreI love this place! One can easily spend the whole day with the family from start to finish. The place is family and hijab friendly. The attire is relaxed in the sense that I saw women wearing western style swim suits and then there were people like me who were covered from head to toe in swim friendly attire. No issues with either style among the staff. Speaking of the staff everyone is helpful and accommodating. From the beginning as I was the only adult with 3 children I had some lovely staff members chatting it up with my kids while I took care of the ticketing. Then I realized that my toddler’s milk and snacks would spoil in the locker. I asked the man (I believe his name was Al Amin) in the cafe if he could please refrigerate the baby’s milk and without hesitation he did so. The lifeguards are all friendly and helpful. I am not a fan of water parks but I go here for my children since they love such places and all the staff members calmed my nerves and encouraged me when I was chickening out on the rides. There is a lovely and diverse group of staff members from South Asia as well as parts of Africa. Lastly I want to say thank you to Anas who was working in the concession stand. He helped put my water proof phone protector on for me and made sure water wouldn’t get in. He made my kids happy with the endless request they made with the ice cream orders. Also, the hotdogs taste like like the ones back home in America. This place felt like back home. Wonderful time and experience. We will keep...
