Jakob Tower is a tourist watchtower located in the Char Fasson town of Bhola Island in southern Bangladesh. Natural beauty can be enjoyed from this tower up to an area of 100 km. It is the tallest watchtower in Bangladesh as well as in the subcontinent. Built in the style of the Eiffel Tower, the 16-story watch tower can accommodate 50 visitors on each floor and 500 visitors throughout the tower.
President Abdul Hamid inaugurated the tower. The tower has been named 'Jacob Tower' in the name of this parliament member of Bhola-4 (Charfashion-Manpura) seat. This tower is built beside Khasmahal Jami Mosque and Fashion Square Charfasan. Actually this is the Minaret of Khasmahal Jami Mosque.
Charfashion Municipality is implementing this watch tower project funded by local government ministry. Architect Kamruzzaman Liton designed the tower. Its work began in February 2013.
