Chandimura Temple, also known as the Lalmai Chandi Temple, is a historic and spiritually significant Hindu temple located atop the scenic Lalmai Hills in Barura Upazila of Comilla District, Bangladesh. This ancient temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali (often referred to as Chandi), and it is one of the oldest temples in the region, attracting pilgrims and visitors from all over the country.

According to historical records, the temple dates back to the 7th century and was believed to have been established by Rani Probhaboti, the wife of King Devkharag, a Buddhist monarch. Despite its early origins, the temple has remained an enduring symbol of Hindu devotion in the region. Nearby, there is also a Shiva temple, indicating the presence of multiple deities worshipped on the same site.

লালমাই চন্ডী মন্দির বা চন্ডীমূড়া মন্দির বাংলাদেশের কুমিল্লা শহরের লালমাই পাহাড়ের চূড়ায় অবস্থিত একটি প্রাচীন হিন্দু মন্দির।মন্দিরটি কালী দেবীর উদ্দেশ্যে নিবেদিত। নিকটবর্তী স্থানে মহেশ্বর শিবের উদ্দেশ্যে নিবেদিত একটি মন্দির রয়েছে। দেবী চন্ডী যখন শম্ভ নিশম্ভ নামক দুই অসুরের সাথে যুদ্ধ করছিলেন তখন বেশ কিছু অসুর জঙ্গলে ঘেরা এই জায়গায় পালিয়ে আসে। দেবী তখন এখানে অসুরদের বধ করেন। দেবীর দেহতাপের ফলে পাহাড়ের মাটির রঙ লাল হয়। ফলে এই পাহাড়ের নাম লালমাই পাহাড় হয়।

হনুমান যখন গন্ধমাদন পর্বতকে তার জায়গায় ফেরত রাখতে যাচ্ছিলেন । তখন কুমিল্লার কাছে লমলম সাগরের উপর দিয়ে যেতে যেতে সাগরের রূপ দেখে তিনি আনমনা হয়ে গেলে পর্বতের একটি ক্ষুদ্র অংশ লালমাই পাহাড়ের জায়গায় এসে পড়ে। ফলে লালমাই পাহাড়ের সৃষ্টি হয়। পাহাড়ের নিচে লমলম নদী আছে।একে লমলম সাগর বলা হয় ।

মহারাজা দেবখড়গ তার রাণী প্রভাবতীর ইচ্ছাতে এই মন্দির ও একটি শিব মন্দির তৈরি করেন। তিনি নিজে বৌদ্ধ ও তার রাণী হিন্দু ছিলেন। নিজে বৌদ্ধ হয়েও তিনি মা চন্ডীর উপাসনা করতেন। এরপর সময়ের সাথে সাথে মন্দির দুটি হারিয়ে যায়। ত্রিপুরার যুবরাজ চম্পক রায় দেওয়ানের ভগ্নি দ্বিতীয়া দেবী এই মন্দিরের পুনঃনির্মাণ করেন । তিনি পাহড়ের দক্ষিণ-পূর্বে একটি দিঘী খনন করেন। যার নাম দূতিয়ার দীঘি । মুক্তিযুদ্ধের পরে ১৯৭২ সালে মন্দিরের সেবায়েত শ্রীমৎ আত্মানন্দ গিরি মহারাজ স্বপ্নে মন্দির দুটির কথা জানতে পারেন। তিনি মন্দির দুটিকে উদ্ধার করে সংস্কার করেন।

কু‌মিল্লা জেলার বরুড়া উপ‌জেলায় চন্ডীমূড়া ম‌ন্দির অব‌স্থিত। চন্ডীমূড়া ম‌ন্দির বাংলা‌দে‌শের প্রাচীনতম ম‌ন্দি‌রের অন্যতম। পুরা‌ণের কা‌হিনী অনুসা‌রে সতীর অঙ্গ যেখা‌নে যেখা‌নে প‌ড়ে‌ছিল সেই জায়গা পীঠস্থা‌নে প‌রিণত হ‌য়ে‌ছে। চন্ডীমূড়া ম‌ন্দির‌কে ধরা হয় একান্ন সতী পী‌ঠের এক পীঠ।

সপ্তম শতাব্দীতে বৌদ্ধরাজা দেবখড়গের স্ত্রী প্রভাবতী দেবী চন্ডীমূড়া ম‌ন্দির প্র‌তিষ্ঠা করেন। ‌রানী প্রভাবতী দেবী হিন্দু ধর্মাবলম্বী ছিলেন। প্রভাবতী দেবী পাশাপাশি ২টি ম‌ন্দির প্র‌তিষ্ঠা ক‌রেন একটি চণ্ডী মন্দির, অপরটি শিব মন্দির। চণ্ডী মন্দিরে অষ্টভুজা সর্বাণী মহাসরস্বতী, অপরটিতে শিবমূর্তি স্থাপন করেন। রানী প্রভাবতী দেবী দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব দিকে এক বিশাল দিঘী খনন করেন।

চন্ডীমূড়া ম‌ন্দির কুমিল্লার অন্যতম একটি দর্শনীয় স্থান। পাহা‌ড়ের উপর ম‌ন্দির‌টি স্থা‌পিত। পাহাড়‌টির উচ্চতা প্রায় ১৫০ ফুটের উপরে এর চূড়ায় অবস্থিত চন্ডীমূড়া মন্দির। মূল ম‌ন্দি‌রে উঠতে ছোট-বড় মিলিয়ে ১৮০টি সিঁড়ি র‌য়ে‌ছে। কু‌মিল্লা জেলার বরুড়া উপ‌জেলার অন্তর্গত গোষণা গ্রামের স্বামী আত্মনন্দ গিরি মহারাজ স্বপ্নাদিষ্ট হয়ে পরিত্যক্ত মন্দিরগুলো পুনঃসংস্কার করেন। বর্তমানে সনাতন ধর্মালম্বী ছাড়াও নানা ধর্মের পর্যটক প্রতিদিনই এই মন্দির দেখ‌তে আসেন। চণ্ডী মন্দিরের পেছনের দেয়ালে লম্বালম্বিভাবে বড় ফাটল ধরেছে। প্র‌ত্যেক বছ‌রে ৩বার উৎসব অনু‌ষ্ঠিত হয়, এখা‌নে বহু ভ‌ক্তের সমাগম ঘ‌টে। কার্তিক মাসের কালীপূজার সময় দিপাবলী উৎসব, পৌষ-মাঘ মাসে গীতা সম্মেলন এবং ফালগুন-চৈত্র মাসে বাসন্তী মহাঅষ্টমী উৎসব অনু‌ষ্ঠিত হয়। চন্ডীমূড়া ম‌ন্দির লালমাই‌য়ের কু‌মিল্লা বরুড়া সড়‌কের পা‌শে অবস্থিত।
