I visited Rupsaagar in Comilla today with my family, looking forward to a relaxing few hours. The location is convenient (very close to the Cantonment) and the surroundings have potential — there are a few nice spots where families can sit, take photos, and enjoy some fresh air. If you’re nearby and want a quick, peaceful outing, it can work as a short stop.
However, I was disappointed with the overall value for money. I paid ₨100 for entry, and after walking around I felt the place does not offer enough attractions or activities to justify that price. From what I observed, the atmosphere and facilities are fairly limited — there aren’t many points of interest, few shaded seating areas, and not much to keep children or adults engaged for an extended visit. To be honest, if I had known that entry felt more appropriate at ₨20–₨30 (or even that no ticket was required), I would not have paid ₨100.
Positives:
Close to the Cantonment — easy to reach.
Quiet, pleasant environment for a short family stroll and photos.
Clean enough on the day I visited.
Negatives / Suggestions:
The ticket price feels too high for what is currently offered. A lower fee (or a tiered pricing system for families/children) would make visits feel more worthwhile.
More seating, shaded areas, and small play features for children would greatly improve the family experience.
Consider adding a few simple attractions — informational signs, small gardens, or local craft stalls — to increase the time visitors are likely to spend there.
Clearer information at the entrance about what visitors can expect would help manage expectations.
Overall, Rupsaagar is a pleasant little spot for a short family visit if you’re close by, but at ₨100 I expected more to do. With modest improvements and a fairer ticket price, it could become a much better place for families to spend a relaxing afternoon. I hope management takes these suggestions on board — the location has...

Read moreThe place is a very beautiful spot to just spend some quality time with friends and families. Especially due to the fact that it is situated inside Comilla Cantonment, giving it extra layers of security, and the entry fee ensuring that baggers and hawkers will not be there to disturb the visitors. The place is clean. One can either ride a cycle around the lake or ride a paddle boat in the lake. Either of the activities is fun. Or one can just walk around the place. There are multiple benches to seat and relax. But one can also seat at the dock housing the boats. There is a small shop that sells chips snacks. There is a beautiful statue of multiple galloping horses. And there is a restaurant, that sells one of the best Pizza of the City. As a down side, the place is too expensive. The foods in the restaurant and the snacks in the shop are expensive, and the entry fee is also very high. Children's with their uniform put on, are not allowed inside. Overall a great...
