Read moreMakas Beel - a huge beel situated in Bashtoli, Kalikoir. A very beautiful place to spend evening time. A lot of people visit there to have a trip by boat for like 1/2 hour. Boats are always available here for these trips. The feeling is amazing. In middle of the beel there is no sound, just sound of water, is so peaceful. Water is moderately clean, but ignorant visitors throw a lot of things in water so it gets dirty.
To go there you need to take a CNG from Kaliakoir Bazar to Bashtoli. Try to go in pact as finding this place solo is hard. I had a hard time to find it. But if you do go solo, go to end of Kaliakoir Bazar to the small bridge (ask anyone in market and say you want to go Bashtoli where can you find autos that go there, they will show you. From there it woult take almost 30 mins to reach there (20tk fare). From there, walk and cross the bridge and walk a little bit forward. You will see boats lined up. Usually they take 300 tk per hour, but in can be more in off days. And there are big engine driven boat as well, will take 800/900 per hr, but its a fun ride.
Even if its a big spend, the sunset by river will fill your mind with inner peace!
PLEASE TRY TO KEEP THE WATER CLEAN. NO NEED TO PUT DIRT THERE....

People from five or six nearby villages had to spend sleepless nights in their noise. Not only fish but also paddy yield is abundant in this bill.
In the afternoon, a large number of visitors can be seen in the area of a few kilometers of the embankment through the middle of the beel. They are mainly residents of the surrounding area. In the afternoon, they come to spend some time in the lap of nature.
