A beautiful park, only 30 min car drive from Mirpur 12 bus stand. It gives a feeling that it is near and also away from Dhaka with a rural flavour. The only problem as of November 2021, roads are being constructed to link Purbachal with main Dhaka city. Thus the trip to and back can be tiresome if you start during peak hours. The park is very well maintained. Tickets as of November 2021 is Tk 150 per person during holidays and Tk 100 on other days. You enter and walk around the premises. It has an old Hindu Moth, a tall tower that shows once Hindu devotees used to worship. Beside this Moth is a new Mosque for Muslim devotees. The park has selected rooms to stay over night. This is located above the restaurant. It also has a small cactus shop. The shop is run by a person who works in a local TV channel. Zinda Park is a cooperative. The premises has some livestock projects. The park also houses a school and mini medical centre for locals. The park also has a library. As of Nov 2021, entrance fee to the library is Tk 20. You can go to the top floor to get an aerial view of the premises. For refreshment, you can take advantage of their more or less good restaurants. If you travel outside the premises, you can enjoy a rural setting. Many Banyan (Bot Gachh) signifies that there is the presence of Hindu communities. Outside the premises there are restaurants that sell cheaper than the ones inside. Parking for cars is outside the premises. Parking charge as of Nov 2021 is Tk 50 per car. For overnight haults, it is better to discuss with the management. There are some shops that sell tea, snacks and even fresh fruits outside the Park. The price of the fruits is the same as Dhaka. Price of other goods is a bit more than official places considering it is a place that attracts tourists. If you travel from the Park towards Kanchan Bridge, you will come across a lake. You can hire a boat. Hiring times are in half hours. It is adviseable to bargain a bit before a boat ride. At the moment, the second China-Bangladesh Bangabandhu Centre is being built, not too far away from the Park. Overall a good place to spend in small or medium groups for a few hours. You will find a good collection of plants and trees. It is a mini botanical garden. The architecture is a mix of modern and traditional. Overall a good place to escape from the busy life of Dhaka for some time.

Zinda_park. Suddenly decided to go there. Today (06/01/2023) I went for a trip as per decision, with my school friends. First of all that bone-chilling winter! Wanted to leave home at 7:30,a.m. However, we Started our journey at around 8:30 a.m. I boarded the Achim bus, bound for Kuril Bishwa Road. The fare was 35 ৳ per person. Even though the road was empty, the bus was driving so slowly that if you could walk from it, you could go faster. After reaching Kuril Bishwar Road, the BRTC bus ticket was cut,we got the bus ticket for Kanchan Bridge. Bus fare was 40 tk per person. But it was tough to get a seat on the bus, and there was a huge line to get on the bus. Probably it was crowded because of the holidays. After that it took about half an hour to reach Kanchan Bridge, CNG, autorickshaws are available there, they were asking 40 ৳. Reserve 200 ৳. A two-seater autorickshaw was reserved for 5 people by bargaining for 180 tk (36 tk per person). It is not possible to explain how severe the winter was when going by autorickshaw. Then reached Zindapark at approx 11:07. 2 more people (friend and his younger sister) will come from Demra. However, we hesitated while buying the tickets, because we knew the entrance fee was 100 tk, but it was 150 tk ( 50 tk off for other days except holidays). What else to do, cut the ticket and my friends who froze in the cold, took 2 cups of tea, Each cup of tea cost 15 tk, coffee 30 tk. It's like watching their reaction after drinking tea. (Didn't like the taste of tea ). But one thing must be admitted, Zinda Park is a very beautiful place to visit. There is a vast field, children and adults were playing peacefully, there were many picnic groups. The most interesting to me are the small islands in the middle of the lake. The drum-bridge was quite thrilling, there was a vibe of riding a boat. We were exploring each place, and taking pictures at will. Very hungry, when it was 2:30. I went to Mahua restaurant inside the park, there set menu A,B,C,D,I was available. The price of food has increased, where the price of set menu A was 230 ৳, it has become 270 ৳. Mashed potatoes with hot steamed rice, chicken roast was very good. Two of friends took set menu C. Polao was good in quantity, enough for 2 people. 5 set menu A, and 1 set menu C, total bill came to 1730 ৳. Then I started wandering again, even though I wanted to climb the tree-house, I didn't climb the steep tree where the long dress falls, so I didn't get up. We explored a lot of Zinda Park for about 6-7 hours. Then it was about 7:30 to return home. Tips: If you want to get a discount of ৳50 on the entrance fee, you have to go to other zindaparks except on holidays. If you take food from outside, you have to pay 25 ৳. It is better to take food from outside, in my opinion.

Quite pleasant place for weekend refreshment and recreation. 🖐Things that attracted me: 📍 The entrance: There are two little pools which are filled with aquatic plants. The passage, in the middle, leads to the sitting place which contains a white oak aesthetic interior. 📍 The mosque: It is totally different from the mosques we generally see. It's one storeyed brick exterior gives a simple sacred vibe. 📍The library: Here comes the best part of it. The person who designed it is such an intellectual architect. 📍 The wooden tree house and tree bench are two cool parts of it. But the stair of the tree house needs to be refurbished. It's current condition is risky for the tourists to ascend up through. 📍The bridge standing on the drums over the lake leads to the seating place which is like a bungalow on the lake. 📍 The bangla restaurant is too cool that gives a vintage village bungalow vibe. 🖐Off side: 📍there is no direction board inside. It took me around half an hour to find the restaurant which is absolutely behind a bush. 📍The restaurant should arrange chinese and indian items too. Because there is no other restaurant near this place. People may not like to eat traditional bangla food there. 📍Such a harassment it is to change transports intermittently on the highway just because of one doesn't choose to hire or own a car. The vintage combination of structures and nature gives an aesthetic vibe that immensely lacks in our capital. So it's a very good place to spend time, outside of Dhaka, at the weekend after spending a monotonous inhumane busy week in our populous city.

Zinda Park is located in Daudpur Union of Narayanganj district covering an area of about 150 acres. Zinda Park has more than 10,000 trees of 250 species, 5 reservoirs and numerous birds. Green cover around. Everywhere you look, the green plants are accompanied by a variety of flowers and fruits. There are tong houses on the trees, big sun blocked ponds, Sanko on the ponds, there are mud houses. Besides, there is a market inside the park, a very beautiful architectural style library, canteen and mini zoo. And for boating there are 8 well-equipped boats in the lake of the park. The architectural style of the various structures of Zinda Park will impress you. The specialty of this park is that it was developed through the spontaneous participation of local people. Zinda Park is the result of 35 years of tireless work of Agrapathik Palli Samiti which started in 1980 with 5000 members. Zinda village is called Adarsh village for the concentration and dedication of Agrapathik Palli Samiti. The distance from Dhaka to Zinda Park is only 37 km. If you want to have a picnic or a day out, you can safely choose Zinda Park. On the one hand, the park covered with greenery will fill your mind with tranquility, on the other hand, the park is completely safe from any kind of trouble. However, if you want to have a picnic here, it is better to inform the authorities two or three days in advance. For a day trip from Dhaka, you will love this green and rural aesthetic environment.
