ভাবুন তো একবার, আপনি বসে আছেন সবুজ ঘাসের উপর, আর দুইপাশে নদী। না, এটা নদীর বুকে জেগে উঠা কোন চর নয়! জায়গাটির নাম চায়না বাঁধ, যা উত্তরবঙ্গের প্রবেশদ্বার সিরাজগঞ্জ জেলায় অবস্থিত। যমুনা নদীর বুকে তৈরি করা এ বাঁধটি এখানকার ও দূরের ভ্রমণ পিয়াসী মানুষের কাছে দর্শনীয় স্থানে পরিণত হয়েছে।

সিরাজগঞ্জ জেলা শহর থেকে মাত্র ১ কিলোমিটার দূরে যমুনা নদীর তীরে গড়ে তোলা হয় এ বাঁধটি। বাঁধের মূল প্রকট থেকে নদীর ২ কিলোমিটার গভীর পর্যন্ত নির্মাণ করা হয় এ বাঁধ। নদীর গভীর পর্যন্ত চলে যাওয়ায় এর দু পাড়ের মনোরম প্রাকৃতিক দৃশ্য একে সবার মাঝে জনপ্রিয় করে তুলেছে। দুই পাশ দিগন্ত জোড়া নদীর পানি আর উপরে আকাশ, মাঝখানে বাঁধে বসে এরূপ দৃশ্য উপভোগ করতে পারবেন এখানে। নদীর বুক জুড়ে বহমান প্রশান্ত হাওয়ায় এখানে পর্যটকদেরও ছুঁয়ে যায়। এ যেন প্রকৃতির এক অপরূপ খেলা।

চাইলে নৌকায় করে ঘুরতেও পারবেন যমুনার বুকে। বাঁধের উপর নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে পিচঢালা রাস্তা। এমন রাস্তা থাকায় যেকোনো যানবাহনে করেই একদম বাঁধের শেষ প্রান্ত পর্যন্ত যাওয়া যাবে।

চারদিকে পানি, ঝিরঝির হাওয়া আর কোলাহলহীন শান্ত পরিবেশ মুগ্ধ করে সবাইকে। তাই সকাল বিকেল এখানে পর্যটকদের ভিড়ও লেগেই থাকে। সিরাজগঞ্জের এ চায়না বাঁধ ক্রসবার ৩ নামেও পরিচিত।

কিভাবে যাবেন: ঢাকা লাইন পরিবহণ, অভি ক্লাসিক, স্টার লিট পরিবহনের বাস রয়েছে সিরাজগঞ্জে যাবার। এসি বাস ভাড়া ২৫০ টাকা এবং নন এসি বাস ভাড়া ৩৫০ টাকা। মিরপুর ২, ট্যাকনিকাল, সাভার, মালিবাগ, আব্দুল্লাহপুর বিভিন্ন জায়গাতেই এসব বাসের কাউন্টার রয়েছে।
