পাবনা শহরের দুই কিলোমিটার উত্তর-পূর্বভাগে অবস্থিত পাবনা জেলার অন্যতম প্রধান ঐতিহাসিক স্থাপত্য নিদর্শন জোড় বাংলা মন্দির। মন্দিরটির নির্মাণশৈলী বাংলার অন্যান্য মন্দির স্থাপত্য থেকে ভিন্ন। ইট নির্মিত একটি অনুচ্চ বেদীর উপর মন্দিরের মূল কাঠামো নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। মন্দিরটির উপরের পাকা ছাদ বাংলার দোচালা ঘরের চালের অনুরূপ। পাশাপাশি দু’টি দোচালা ঘরের ছাদকে এক সঙ্গে জোড়া লাগিয়ে মন্দিরের ছাদ নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। ছাদের মধ্যভাগ বেশ উঁচু হলেও ছাদের ধার উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ দিকে ক্রমশ ঢালু হয়ে গেছে। পশ্চিমমুখী মন্দিরের সামনে রয়েছে একটি বারান্দা এবং তাতে দু’টি স্তম্ভের সাহায্যে প্রবেশপথ রয়েছে ৩টি।

প্রবেশপথ এবং সংলগ্ন স্তম্ভ ও দেয়ালের নির্মাণ কৌশলে দিনাজপুরের কান্তনগর মন্দির এর সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্য খুঁজে পাওয়া যায়। দেয়াল ও স্তম্ভে এক সময় প্রচুর পোড়ামাটির চিত্রফলকে অলংকৃত ছিল। ১৮৯৭ খ্রিস্টাব্দের ভূমিকম্পে মন্দিরের যথেষ্ট ক্ষতি সাধিত হয়। মন্দিরের সঙ্গে সংস্থাপিত কোন শিলালিপি না থাকলেও স্থানীয়দের মতে, মুর্শিদাবাদের নবাবের তহশীলদার ব্রজমোহন ক্রোড়ী আঠারো শতকের মাঝামাঝি কোন এক সময়ে মন্দিরটি...
