Not a dream, but a dream like's quiet, dreamy place is Shopnopuri Dinajpur. Which has been able to attract the attention of tourists from all over the country and abroad. This fantastic picnic spot spreads over 400 acres of land in Khalishpur Mauza of Aftabganj in Nawabganj Upazila of Dinajpur district. It is a spectacular picnic or entertainment spot in greater Rangpur.
Location: Shopnopuri is 33 miles or 52 kilometers south-east by road from Dinajpur district town and 12 kilometers from Phulbari Upazila. From Dinajpur, via Phulbari Aftabganj Bazar you can reach here easily.
Many tourists from different places of Bangladesh come here to entertain or picnic. Particularly in the winter season, there are more crowds. It has also been known as a film spot. Already few movies, telefilm, and drama have been shot here.
When you arrive at Shopnopuri, two large-sized angel statues will welcome. They stretched and raised one hand and stood on both sides of the gate. Crossing the gate, different trees on the two sides of the road. Then there will be a row of Debdaru (Polyalthia longifolia) trees on the two sides of the road.

There are various types of rental ovens for cooking assistance. All the items of the chairs, tables, utensils, and renovations are rented here. The place is fully secured. It is known that on February 2, 1989, favorite piper Mohammad Delwar Hossain inaugurated this area with a private initiative of only 38 acres of land. Now it has expanded to 400 acres.
